Helps save hours every week

Pros

It is specifically built for the legal industry and it is great for streamlining the intake process. Plus it helps us convert leads into hired clients easily. The automation feature saves firms valuable time and effort on redundant tasks.

Cons

Without a doubt it is a powerful tool but there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to implementing documents, assets and forms. The support team is amazing and Lawmatics University is a great resource to help us learn the system. And it does take time to build and customize the platform to suit each firm.

Pros

What I love about it is how I can pretty easily manage my contacts and automate the entire client intake process with personalized forms and electronic signatures.

Cons

To have more freedom to further adapt and customize the workflows would be great. Other than that there is nothing I dislike a lot.

Failed to meet our needs

Pros

The CRM's UI is well built and clean. Plus the Custom Forms builder is versatile and well-designed. The activity log is easy to read and understand. Also I find the support team is great. They are very understanding and respond in a reasonable time.

Cons

The automation system in it was one of the main reasons we chose it. But using it has been a series of endless workarounds. And while the interface is decent getting the desired results always requires multiple stop gap measures. The things you can change with an automation are really limited. To make it work how we want, we end up using multiple custom forms and Zaps through Zapier. This makes automations tricky and easy to mess up. Plus there is no testing server so all changes happen live which has caused issues a few times. Also, the calendar system is not perfect. Booking internally works fine but there is no way to send a booking request that prevents abuse from external users.

Easy to customize that works with everything

Pros

What I like most is that it just works once set up with an onboarding specialist. I have used other CRM tools that were similar but more expensive and with a less clean interface. Lawmatics was customizable to fit my workflow perfectly.

Cons

There are so many features and options that it can feel overwhelming. If you have no CRM background and are not sure what your workflow or automations should look like, it can be intimidating though I must say the customer service is really helpful here.

Worth considering

Pros

We have been really happy with it for managing client contacts. It has helped streamline our case management by allowing us to send automatic emails to clients. Also it keeps them moving through our client pipeline and helps us follow up without doing it manually. It also makes KPI tracking easy and entering client data and generating spreadsheets with different client parameters is so simple.

Cons

Well we have had some issues with matters duplicating. One thing we really liked when we first started with Lawmatics was having someone who was really knowledgeable about the software and familiar with our processes. It made working with him so easy. Now, though support feels like it is not as personal and we do not always work with the same person. It has been a bit more frustrating and slower to get answers.

Pros

By keeping all the matter information in one place and using automations, it helps us stay on top of leads, streamline the intake process and save time on form and document creation. Now nothing falls through the cracks.

Cons

It took some time to get our forms and documents into a state where they could be easily templated and I am still not 100% comfortable sending some through automation. But I think that's part of the process with any CRM and the time invested has definitely been worth it.

I like how there is a contact database with tags that make it easier for us to categorize and connect with clients.

Cons

I do not like that I can't call clients without using my personal phone number for them to return calls.

Solid features, but the customer team needs work

Pros

The event feature and pipeline are perfect for keeping everyone on our team organized and on task.

Cons

The customer service went from having one person who could help with any issue to a team of associates who often needed everything explained again that had already been set up by our account manager. Now it takes much longer and is more frustrating to get answers.

Everything's working well so far

Pros

Well the ability to organize and track potential leads while always having an up to date understanding of everything at once is simply the best.

Cons

My only complaint so far is the amount of work and training required to get the platform up and running. However the support team is responsive which makes this process a lot easier.

Happy with how it works

Pros

It is really easy to use and the contact database is very helpful and easy to navigate. Also the reporting tools are also really helpful for managing our client needs.

Cons

Billing is a new feature and could definitely use some improvements for ease of use. I have suggested a few enhancements to support like adding check numbers as an option when recording check payments.

Pros

It is simple to use and customize. Plus the customer service is quite helpful as they are always available and ready to assist whenever I reach out to them. The onboarding process was also quite fun and not overly complex.

Cons

I have built my practice with it from the start. Every time I've come across a con or negative issue, I have been able to fix it or customize it to meet my needs.

Pros

Lawmatics has improved our ability to bring in new clients by over 150% while cutting costs on staff to do the same tasks. I would not recommend any other platform.

Cons

I feel like reporting features beyond need improvements and definitely need more work.

The pipeline management feature helps intake staff see exactly who they have been talking to which makes it easier for me to stay organized.

Cons

The best!

Pros

We really like how easy and simple the intake process is for potential clients. It captures every detail we need for a consultation. Also we love how it syncs each event to Clio Manage and how easy it is to sync client matters over to Clio without having to recreate them.

Cons

I find the automation a little confusing. If it were not for the builders in it I do not think regular people like us at a firm would know how to set it up.

Pros

Lawmatics platform is constantly growing and improving. The main reason for that is how responsive they are to user feedback. They do not just listen to our suggestions but they actually implement them.

Cons

It would be awesome if it gave us the option to implement a snapshot view of each matter, showing progress on tasks etc. MyCase has this feature and it is great for efficient case management.
