“strong integrations but frustrating workflow”
Pros
Working in a real estate law firm I rely on Unity heavily for closing files and it has become one of the core tools in our process. it handles the creation of key documents efficiently and the integrations with FCT LLC and Lender Centre are especially useful since they let us receive mortgage instructions directly. Another thing I appreciate is the ability to bring our firm's own documents into the system which helps keep everything organized in one place. The integration capability is easily the strongest part of the software.
Cons
That saiditalso comes with a number of drawbacks. The per-file opening cost has gotten too expensive and in a high-volume practice that builds up fast. Although the generated documents are detailed some templates feel outdated and still need manual edits. I have also run into freezing issues, trouble locating older files through search and confusing data entry overall. Entering client or property information often means waiting for the database to catch up and even simple actions take more clicks than they should. On top of that certain options are placed in odd spots, like estate or POA selections appearing under the gender section.
