flexible note linking workflow

Pros

Taking notes is very easy and being able to connect those notes directly to the document makes the whole workflow feel much more organized and useful.

Cons

A couple of additions would make it even better. Such as the option to place bookmarks within the document outline so I wouldn't have to rely on another app for that and second, a way to search for and jump straight to specific page numbers.

Provide so many different options

Pros

Handling documents and adding annotations has been really useful and I also appreciate the different selection options available.

Cons

It's not really usable on a phone. It would be much better to have an iPhone iOS version for following up on files.

Has the best tools for hearing prep

Pros

Using LiquidText has been really helpful because the interface is simple and the feature set is genuinely useful. I depend a lot on pinch search, highlighting, text extract, quick links and the ability to work across multiple workspaces when I am preparing for hearings.

Cons

One issue still hasn't been properly fixed. Like it keeps removing text in a PDF form and even after raising it multiple times, it remains unresolved. I'd also really prefer all of the toolbars to be merged into one toolbar at the top of the page. The floating toolbars constantly get in the way while working on documents and I don't understand why they need to be separate. The toolbar layout also needs adjusting so icons are not sitting in the middle of the screen, where they interfere with Apple split screen on an iPad. It would help a lot to have shortcuts for 3-4 commonly used highlight colours so there's less need to keep reopening the highlight menu just to switch colours. Page navigation could also be improved especially when dealing with pages labeled A22, A23 and so on because search tends to jump to any result instead of the most relevant one. Word documents also do not keep the same layout they would have on a desktop so page numbering becomes misaligned which makes collaboration difficult. When opening several documents at once, it should create one new workspace rather than several separate ones. It would also be useful to have an option to save and import a signed document as a standalone new file. On top of that the bundle updating function often crashes, fails to work properly, does not recognise updated bookmarking in a bundle or simply fails to load the bundle.

productive notes and smart excerpts

Pros

LiquidText helps me stay much more productive by letting me add comments, create auto excerpts, summarize content and take notes during meetings all in one place.

Cons

Text selection can be a bit awkward at times and isn't always as precise as it should be.

Changed everything for good

Pros

Being able to connect sections inside one document, across multiple documents and even directly to specific notes in a workspace has completely changed how I handle scientific research.

Cons

As someone in academia having smooth syncing between this tool and my reference manager is something I really need.

Great highlight shortcuts

Pros

What I like is that being able to color-code highlights and choose which colors are available as shortcuts makes annotating a lot easier.

Cons

I do wish it supported more signature options like Adobe and the convert-to-PDF feature could be clearer to use.

Helpful across devices

Pros

Being able to open the documents I need from different devices has been really valuable. My work and professional focus require a lot of reading so having all the tools in one place to review material, take notes and connect ideas is incredibly useful.

Cons

The only thing missing for me is phone support. I still cannot use it on my phone so I'd really love to see a version of the app made for phones.

Good workspace for research

Pros

Working with the workspace feature has been fantastic especially the ability to handle multiple documents in one place. When I am writing a paper, I can keep the same documents together inside a project and arrange excerpts within the same workspace. It gives me the feeling of cutting sections out and moving them around on the floor, except everything is digital. That kind of setup gives me a lot of flexibility to organize information in whatever way makes the most sense, without dealing with the mess of printed copies.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the option to rotate PDFs.

user friendly and productive tool

Pros

The functionality is really amazing and it helps me stay productive. The interface is also user friendly so getting around the app and using its features doesn't take much effort.

Cons

Text editing still has room for improvement and I'd also like to see the AI features respond faster.

comments stay connected

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is that comments always remain linked to the exact pages and sections they belong to which makes reviewing and organizing notes much more reliable.

Cons

A downside is that it still doesn't support ebooks or EPUB files which limits the types of documents I can work with.

Better than many

Pros

I haven't come across another app that lets you annotate PDFs, pull out key pieces and bring everything together into one connected idea space quite like this.

Cons

It does take a little time to get comfortable with all the different tools and options available.

Fits our needs well

Pros

Working in research means juggling several documents at the same time while taking notes for papers and LiquidText fits that need perfectly. Linking ideas across documents, building mind maps, free writing and adding text, images and personal thoughts about the topic are exactly the features I was looking for. With the cloud service now available, I can also access and read everything on any device. I'd definitely recommend it because it has made my research much faster and a lot more manageable.

Cons

I honestly haven't come across anything I dislike about it.

Proven a useful tool for us

Pros

Being able to upload non-HIPAA documents and sort them into folders has been really useful. While reviewing files, I can pull out the important sections as I go. After that, putting together briefs, outlines and summaries takes a lot less effort since everything relevant is already organized instead of being buried in random highlights across a pile of PDFs.

Cons

The software can be pretty buggy. I have had it crash on me and refuse to open certain PDFs. I use both the iPad and PC versions and there are times when the iPad app won't open specific files. I also think it needs HIPAA certification so medical records and other sensitive documents could be reviewed in it.

promising for appeal records

Pros

Handling large appellate files is where LiquidText looks especially useful for me. I am really looking forward to loading a full appeal record into it and working that way right from the start. I haven't used it on appeals already in progress since that would mean doing everything twice without much benefit.

Cons

To me the AI features feel pretty limited. I also use CaseText and it does a noticeably better job when it comes to document analysis.

smart linking and great OCR

Pros

Being able to link documents together and pull out sections into notes is really useful. The built-in OCR also works well.

Cons

The tutorial could be a lot more helpful. Not having an undo function is frustrating and it does freeze once in a while.

Ideal note-making companion

Pros

Getting started with LiquidText was genuinely exciting. I first discovered it after seeing a friend at the Supreme Court of India using it and that immediately caught my attention. Once I began using it myself, the software felt extremely practical and user friendly. It makes note-taking much more organized, manageable and efficient and overall it delivers excellent usability.

Cons

I feel like the page-turning could be better since pages do not switch very easily and it also does not work on Android devices.

Well designed software

Pros

The interface is really well designed and easy to work with. On a pen-enabled device like a tablet, the layout and input method make the whole experience especially worthwhile. As someone who still enjoys scribbling and jotting notes by hand, having a tool like this matters a lot.

Cons

It works with two of the most common reference managers which is useful but direct import support would make it even better. Since standardized formats already exist, it shouldn't have to rely only on those two options.

Excellent for studying workflows

Pros

It's been really useful for studying and building mind maps by combining content from several documents and it works well for me on both iPad and PC.

Cons

The Plus version especially with cloud features and automatic syncing across multiple devices, feels expensive and not completely worth the price.
