“User-friendly!

Pros

I really like the efficiency, accuracy and the user-friendly interfaces of the assessment and tax pro software.

Cons

The learning curve with certain assessments and tax pro software is there and I have noticed occasional technical glitches too.

Tax Pro has been the best tool I have found so far for financial and accounting purposes.

Cons

So far, there is nothing I dislike about it.

“We use it for tracking expense

Pros

I use Orion every day for financial and accounting tasks. My firm relies on it to track expenses.

Cons

When it crashes it frustrates me but usually it comes back up after restarting.

“Offers exceptional support

Pros

Well it works great and is quite easy to use. Plus I find the spport excellent too. We have been using this product for over 25 years now.

Cons

We cannot use it over a VPN connection which is a bit of a hassle.

Pros

Orion has the ability to organize different types of information within the platform. Right now I use 12 different tabs daily and there are functions that flag specific data for quick access and faster completion of tasks.

Cons

I feel like it could look a bit more aesthetically pleasing and there are opportunities to add more resources. For example, I use another system for all our procedure documents and it would be really helpful if Orion could show links to those documents.

“Great for managing multiple timekeepers

Pros

It is great that everyone can input information at the same time without messing up each other's entries. And yes it is definitely more productive and efficient than using a spreadsheet when multiple people of our team are working on the same files consistently.

Cons

At times it feels a bit bulky. Also it would be nice to have an option to just keep the time manager open in the tray or even a right-click option to add a new entry. It would also be helpful for us if there were codes, like in Excel where we could designate different billing entries for different purposes or rates (for example, code 1 could be for a real estate purchase at 123 Brown Street and code 2 for 456 Orange Street, making it easier to separate costs).

“Good for time tracking

Pros

I love how easy it is to choose a time frame when tracking billable hours.

Cons

The Smart Timers are a big inconvenience since I always have to make sure I stop one before starting another.

“Takes time to get the hang of, but thorough system

Pros

The range of features is awesome. To me it is more than just a time-entry system. Also the contacts function is intuitive and simple to update. From there running conflict checks is also easy. On the backend being able to view near real time accounting data like payments received, A/R balances and distributions is really useful though it took a little while to implement.

Cons

Desktop version is a bit clunky. And as a Mac user I have to use MS Remote Desktop to access the app which I assume works seamlessly on PCs. But the iPhone app makes up for it. Also it is really useful to be able to enter time on the go while onsite with clients and at least it works on Macs too.

Pros

Orion is easy to use and it allows me to create various reports and summaries.

Cons

The biggest issue for me is that there is no mobile app. It would be very helpful if you work from home or while on the road.
