Pros

I haven't found anything that works.

Cons

During installation, the screen went black and I couldn't uninstall in safe mode. I had to manually delete the program files to get rid of it.

Easy tool access

Pros

I really love how the interface and how easy it is to find the tools I need.

Cons

The app doesn't respect my Logi Options mouse settings, so the zoom is way too fast when using the mouse wheel.

user-friendly but heavy on resources

Pros

I was really impressed by how user-friendly the interface is. Even someone like me, who isn't a tech expert, found it easy to navigate through all the features and tools.

Cons

The only minor issue I've come across is that the software is a bit heavy on resources when handling large PDF files.

Newer versions are unreliable

Pros

The feature set is outstanding and I particularly love the ability to work with scaled drawings and precise measurements.

Cons

PDF Studio 12 was super reliable back in 2012 but the newer versions (2022 and 2023) don't work on my Mac Studio M1 Max. I've encountered simple copy/paste errors, can't delete some annotations, and exporting to JPG often leaves out annotations. Also, the "send to back" or "bring to front" options don't work for reordering objects.

feature-rich and affordable

Pros

PDF Studio has all the features you need without cluttering the interface. The tools that are usually tricky to use are surprisingly intuitive. Plus, they offer a license at a fraction of the cost of other competitors annual subscriptions while is really great.

Cons

Haven't managed to get the dark theme to work but honestly, it doesn't bother me too much.

Amazing digital signature options

Pros

The features in this app are amazing. I especially love the electronic and digital signature options. The text search bar is also super useful.

Cons

I think the pricing could be a bit lower for what it offers.

great features but pricing could be better

Pros

It's pretty good how the electronic and digital signature features work in the app. They're unique and the app has so many great features compared to other apps.

Cons

The pricing is on the high side, so I think they should consider lowering it.

Efficient but pricey and glitchy

Pros

I've been really impressed with the features. My work has become so much more efficient because I can easily create, edit, and annotate PDFs. Creating PDF forms is a game-changer for me since I don't need any other software for that now. I also love the ability to split and merge PDF files. The options for adding and editing Bates numbers, watermarks, headers, links, and footers are a huge plus. The ability to add and edit digital signatures is another great feature. It's also really helpful to export PDFs to different formats like Word, Excel, and HTML. The interface is super easy to use, making navigation a very easy job. Overall, I'd highly recommend PDF Studio if you need a reliable PDF editing program.

Cons

PDF Studio has some great features, but there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed. Compared to other PDF editing tools, this one is pricey. Some users might find the interface frustrating because it's a bit cluttered and hard to navigate. It also requires a powerful computer to function properly. I've had some crashes and freezing, which isn't ideal. It's also not fully mobile-friendly, which could be an issue for people who need to edit PDFs on the go. Some features might only have limited functionality unless you get additional plug-ins. Also, when working with larger files, the software can be slow. This might not be the best option for people who only need to edit a few PDFs every now and then. Overall, it's a good tool with useful features, but it has its quirks. I'd recommend trying the trial version to make sure it fits your needs before committing.

A bit tough to use

Pros

This app is cheaper than others and the customer service is great with fast responses to any inquiries.

Cons

Honestly, it's tough to use, especially if you're used to Acrobat. When you add text, you can't change the font or size once it's in there. With Acrobat, I could just double-click the text and edit it, but here, once it's added, you're stuck with it. The signature feature is also a bit annoying. The photo always ends up on top of the text, so you have to resize it to fit in the box without covering the line. It's not the easiest to manage. The PDF to Excel conversion doesn't work as expected either. It usually dumps everything into one single cell, which is pretty useless. I haven't tried other tools yet, but these issues with the text and conversion have really left me disappointed.

Versatile creation and markup

Pros

PDF Studio lets you create PDFs from Word documents, images, and scanned documents. I use it regularly and it's perfect for everything I need to do with PDFs. Marking up drawings is easy, and you can lock your comments so no one can change them except you. The vault feature is really useful, too. Plus, you can access this program from any device with an internet connection, whether it's your phone, tablet, laptop, or even through WhatsApp and email.

Cons

The only downside for me is that it doesn't come with every watermark, header, and footer I need for construction drawings. I've done a lot of work that PDF-XChange couldn't handle, but overall, the pricing is pretty fair.

simple with many features

Pros

This tool is fantastic even if you don't know much about the software. What I love most is how simple it is to use, and it has so many features that make you wonder why you've been using Word all these years.

Cons

As a designer, I use PDF Studio every day. While it's definitely useful, the interface is a bit complicated and takes time to get used to. I also find it hard sometimes to locate features within the software.

Outdated and slow

Pros

The price is great with a one-time payment and the software offers so many useful features. It's very affordable compared to other options out there.

Cons

The design feels outdated and it's not very user-friendly. One major issue is that when you're working with multi-page documents, it takes up to 1-2 seconds to render each page. Even after that, it doesn't load into RAM properly, so you have to re-render each time you go back to it. It was impossible to work with on large files, so I switched to Foxit, which is free and works much better. This problem happened with a 100-page document (around 200 MB) on both an Intel 9 Windows 10 machine and an M1 MacBook Pro. Another downside is that it doesn't have a table of contents feature recognized by other readers.

Easy and affordable

Pros

In my experience, the software is easy to use, highly functional and affordable. It ticks all the boxes.

Cons

Honestly, there's nothing major I dislike. The interface could be a little more modern, but that's not a dealbreaker for me as long as it gets the job done.

Best low-cost editor

Pros

This is the best PDF editor and converter with a low-cost perpetual license. It even has optical character recognition capabilities. The fact that it's cross-platform and works perfectly on Linux, Windows, and Mac is amazing.

Cons

I haven't had many issues with PDF Studio but the OCR tool didn't always pick up the text correctly.

great value and user-friendly

Pros

It's more affordable than other options and the tools are easy to find and use. It's also super simple to convert files to different formats.

Cons

The one thing I really don't like is that you can't move text once it's been added. In PDFFiller, you can easily click and move the text box anytime, but with PDF Studio, once you finish typing, you can't change or move the text. You have to start over, which is pretty annoying.
