“Good but glitchy and network issues are frequent
Pros
It's generally good, but when it glitches, it's super frustrating. It's usually network issues, and we end up wasting hours trying to get Quill to work right. We're starting to feel like we need someone to overhaul our system.
Cons
It frequently freezes, the organize button doesn't sync properly with Outlook, and there's no way to easily tell if an email should be saved to save time

“feels clunky post-update
Pros
Before the 2023 update, I found Quill super easy to use and really user-friendly.
Cons
The new layout (post December 2023 update) has too much information in one place. The graphics aren't as easy to read, and dragging and dropping docs or recording time now takes way longer than before. I get why they sectioned the left-hand task bar with extra categories, but it's too much. It hasn't made it any easier to move around the system. That said, Quill support is great, and I've had no issues with them.

“Simple time recording
Pros
Recording billable time is simple and I can see the current status of all my cases in one place on Quill.
Cons
It can be tricky to understand at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to use.

“Great integration
Pros
Case management features and the smooth Office 365 integration are definitely the most valuable aspects for us. They really help streamline our workflow and make everything more efficient.
Cons
The fields can be pretty limited and don't always match the needs of the case.

“easy accounting tool
Pros
for me, accounting and document management are easy to use and simple to train the staff on. The reporting makes managing everything a lot easier.
Cons
Some of our staff aren't fans of the new look of MyQuill, they think it's a bit too simplistic and child-like.

“Not for new businesses
Pros
The case management docs hub is great, and filling out fields and templates works really well.
Cons
It's not ideal for new businesses. Honestly, I didn't find it very user-friendly as a beginner. There's no manual, and the help guides are super basic and don't help much. Also, they haven't been updated to match the new version of the software. I've spent so much time just trying to figure out how to use it instead of actually doing my work, which is a huge problem for me as a sole trader. You can't create documents directly in the system. You have to download them, work on the letters, and then upload them again, which takes up space on your computer. You also can't amend a document in your docs hub without downloading it, changing it on your desktop, and uploading it again. When recording time, you have to manually select the latest fees; it doesn't do it automatically. It also doesn't seem to be built for criminal firms. Some courts are missing from the lists, and the codes don't seem to line up (for example, in a criminal investigation, you need to enter mags classifications).

“support is useless
Pros
Unfortunately, we can't give any positive feedback because we've been trying to get set up on this software for a year and a half and still haven't had any success.
Cons
There's absolutely no useful support for the software. We would never recommend this service to anyone.

“Seamless Transition to Paperless with Quill
Pros
We went fully paperless 6-12 months ago, and Quill has been crucial in making that transition smooth. I really wish we had found it and gone paperless years ago. The system is easy to use, and organizing documents and emails is automated. Quill even set up standard document folders for us based on different areas of law. It feels like the software was made for us, not some generic system that doesn't quite work for our needs. The support team is awesome, super quick and helpful. The Legl integration is a lifesaver for sending clients a secure link to pay bills in just minutes.
Cons
There's the occasional glitch here and there, but Quill is quick to fix them.

“Practical for small firms
Pros
I think it's practical software that doesn't rely on a big marketing budget. It does exactly what most small to medium firms need, covering both accounts and case management. You can use the accounts and case management separately, and the best part is you're not constantly being sold add-ons. In the three years I've known Quill, we've never been pressured to upgrade or pay more. We also use the cashier service, and our contact does an amazing job keeping us on track with our postings and reconciliations.
Cons
A chat function within the software for support would be really helpful.

“Unreliable, slow, and loses information
Pros
Honestly, this is the most frustrating case management system I've ever used. It's painfully slow, clunky, and unreliable, making it nearly impossible to get anything done efficiently.
Cons
This is the worst case management system I've ever had to use. It's slow, clunky, and unreliable. It loses information and has really affected my ability to work efficiently, which is a huge problem for me. I wouldn't recommend this system to anyone.

“Reliable control but has messy report function
Pros
It gives me reliable control over all client money and transactions.
Cons
The report function is a bit messy. There are issues with titles and dates when printing reports, and some reports just don't work at all.

“Simple Data Management, Needs E-Chit Fixing
Pros
Saving and accessing data on Quill is really easy.
Cons
I can't unlink from a case without linking it to another one. The heading in E-chits shows a case even when the transaction doesn't actually link to it, which is pretty annoying. Also I can't fix incorrect E-chits once they've been posted. The Legal Cashier is always super helpful with this issue, though.

“Easy with guides
Pros
It's simple to get started with and there are tons of guides available to help.
Cons
Sometimes the search filters don't work as they should. Also, some of the guides should be more focused on specific areas of law.

“Simple and effective
Pros
The product is straightforward and effective at the basic level, making it ideal for small teams like ours. It does exactly what we need without any unnecessary complexity.
Cons
There are plenty of ways this could be improved and made more flexible, especially when dealing with a large volume of work.
