Putting documents together is simple, it keeps the firm very well organized and the customer service has been excellent.

approachable support team

Pros

Running a small law firm, we rely on it for nearly everything and it has been amazing. The system feels very user-friendly and efficient and the support team has been consistently helpful every time I've reached out. I've called several times with questions and they're always approachable, easy to talk to and quick to provide answers. I'd absolutely recommend Smokeball.

Cons

Only feature I really wish it included is a built-in PDF editor, ideally something like Adobe integration.

Helps organize tasks

Pros

Using it has made my practice run much more efficiently and helped me organize tasks so I can get more done in less time. It has also done a lot to keep everything organized. On top of that, the customer service and training have been excellent.

Cons

Entering data when opening a new file can take quite a bit of time.

Incredible automation features

Pros

Pros

Everything stays in one centralized place with Smokeball which makes managing files much more convenient.

Cons

At times, when a new update comes out, the whole software has to be downloaded again instead of just installing a smaller update.

Gamechanging automation for solo practice

Pros

Running a solo practice changed a lot once I started using this tool. The document automation has taken over work I would have otherwise needed an assistant for and the automatic time tracking has helped me capture a lot of billable time that used to slip through the cracks. On top of that, both the support and training teams have been fantastic to work with.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is more billing functionality especially the option to accept ACH payments rather than being limited to credit card payments.

useful templates section

Pros

The forms and templates section has been really useful and the PDF tools work well. I also appreciate how nicely it integrates with Outlook and Word.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints. The only thing I'd love to see added is the ability to text clients directly from the software.

Pros

Since switching to Smokeball, I've been working more efficiently and spending a lot less time double-checking whether all my billable time has been entered.

Cons

I haven't run into any issues at this point. Everything has been working really well.

Support team never lets you down

Pros

Being able to work directly with Office and Outlook, plus having cloud-based access to documents, has been a big advantage. The support team always answers my questions.

Cons

It does use quite a bit of RAM and every now and then a Microsoft update interferes with the integration.

Comprehensive system

Pros

Between the automatic time tracking, email integration and the form suites, this software covers a lot of what I need day to day. Customer service has also been great whenever I've needed help which makes the overall experience even better.

Cons

One thing that still needs work is offline access to files, as it could definitely be improved.

Pros

There's a lot packed into this platform, from document automation and filings to billing and time tracking so it covers a wide range of work really well.

Cons

Every now and then, not all of the features are available when I need them. The snapshot view of my firm's productivity in particular seems buggy and doesn't always work properly.
