“Simple legal billing system

Pros

Billing has been simple to handle and I don't run into confusion when managing it. It works well not just for me but also for attorneys involved which makes the whole process smoother for everyone.

Cons

Getting the reports I need can be a bit challenging. When I try to look into details for a specific client over certain dates, I don't always get the exact view I'm looking for which can be frustrating.

“Reliable long term workflow tool

Pros

The layout has worked well for me over the years and I've found it consistently useful. I've been using it for a long time and it continues to support my work without issues.

Cons

Data security is something I care a lot about and with more systems moving to cloud-based servers, I don't always feel completely comfortable with that direction, especially when using tools like Sage.

Pros

I've been able to track time and bill clients reliably. Once everything is set up, logging time stays accurate and the reporting features are strong enough for professional use.

Cons

The interface didn't feel very modern to me at first and it took some time to get used to. Setting everything up also took longer than I expected and a few workflows felt more complicated than they needed to be.

Over the years, I've found it simple to work with and generating reports doesn't take much effort. I've used it for decades and have been very satisfied with how it performs.

Cons

I've been using Sage Timeslips for a long time, even back when it came on a CD. What pushed me away was the shift to a subscription model which became too expensive for me as a solo user.

Pros

Moving between entries feels smooth and I can review and edit multiple items without wasting time. Preparing bills is also quick and I like that I can lock them before final approval to avoid mistakes.

Cons

Some parts of the system felt confusing to me, especially when trying to understand certain functions. The interface also felt a bit outdated and I often had to look things up separately to fully understand how things worked.
