Worth the price!

Pros

Getting a one-year subscription felt well worth the cost. I used it to study for my AWS exams and it gave me access to all the relevant courses I needed for preparation.

Cons

A few of the courses run a little longer than necessary and it would be better if they were split into shorter sections to make the time commitment more manageable.

Comprehensive collection of all things cloud

Pros

The hands-on labs provided an outstanding opportunity for me to try out cloud-based solutions that I hadn't used before. The video courses were engaging, and the presenter made it easy to understand.

Cons

It seems that A Cloud Guru is primarily targeted towards beginners or those at a lower intermediate level. Personally, I quickly reached a plateau in terms of utilizing it for my own study goals.

dashboard is proven useful

Pros

The dashboard does a nice job of helping me stay on top of my courses. The hands-on labs and playground sandboxes are especially excellent features and add a lot to the learning experience.

Cons

The DevOps section feels a bit limited and it would be better to have more content that covers the latest DevOps technologies.

Great tool for learning

Pros

I spent quite a bit of time using it on a personal license to build up my skills. The course selection is pretty broad and the labs and playgrounds are well done and useful for hands-on learning.

Cons

A portion of the material seems a bit outdated so it would be better if that content were refreshed or taken down.

Like the up to date course library

Pros

There's a huge selection of courses available and they all stay current with the latest updates.

Cons

Some of the courses feel much longer than they need to be and watching so many videos can get tiring.

outdated courses and high pricing

Pros

Back in 2015 to 2018, A Cloud Guru was at its best especially when AWS certifications were much simpler and didn't depend so heavily on scenario-based questions. Since then, the platform hasn't kept up very well and it no longer is as polished compared with other instructors who offer more detailed and better-structured content. At this point, the biggest thing it still has going for it is the brand recognition it built from its earlier popularity.

Cons

There are quite a few problems but the biggest ones are the high cost and the fact that some courses and practice exams have gone without updates for a long time. It also seems like the acquisition of Linux Academy pulled some of the strongest instructors away from that platform. Now that Pluralsight has taken over, it's hard to tell what direction things will go in, so all anyone can really do is wait and see.

Proven helpful for students

Pros

ACG really pulled ahead of other platforms when they launched the Playground and live sandboxes. That addition was genuinely exciting and ended up being very valuable for students.

Cons

We originally came from Linux Academy before it was acquired by ACG and even though that was positive overall, the transition took quite a while. Now that ACG has been acquired by Pluralsight, I am just hoping we don't have to deal with another long migration process.

excellent web learning platform

Pros

The web version of the platform works really well and has been a very great experience overall.

Cons

On the other hand the Android app feels poorly built and is far too buggy to use for any longer stretch of time.

Top tool for sure

Pros

Having A Cloud Guru alongside your certification journey really feels like having a guide every step of the way. It offers a huge library of lessons, more than 14,000, centered mainly on Cloud Computing for AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and other platforms. The Labs and Playgrounds are especially helpful because they let you practice as much as you need until you feel fully prepared and confident for the exam. On top of that the instructors explain the material very clearly which makes the learning process much more reassuring.

Cons

That level of content comes at a cost. It is not free, although it does offer a free trial and the pricing is charged per learner. It would be much better if they had a company plan that helped reduce costs when adding multiple users especially for teams that want to support more employees in getting certified.

Great training that boosts certifications

Pros

Everything is very user friendly and the explanations are thorough and dependable. Studying on this platform definitely makes earning certifications much more achievable.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is stronger support for AWS courses in additional languages.
