organized and quick to learn

Pros

Acorn LMS is very user friendly and the layout is really well organized. Even in the short time I have been using it, I have already picked up a lot and can navigate through everything pretty quickly.

Cons

One thing I have noticed is that the app seems to get updated quite often and it does lag from time to time. Still, even with those occasional slowdowns, I wouldn't want to use anything other than this tool.

helpful guides and simple design

Pros

It's easy to use, even for someone completely new to the platform. As the system is user friendly and their how-to resources are especially helpful when learning the program.

Cons

I really don't have any complaints. It's a great program that works well for both beginners and more experienced users.

LMS in a nut shell

Pros

The price comparison was excellent, and the ability to import all our training records into Acorn for reporting purposes is highly beneficial. The software offers a pleasing look and feel for users.

Cons

The reporting functions could benefit from having more options.

Has top course creation tools

Pros

Putting courses together and getting people onboarded works really well here and uploading files and videos is easy too. The sub-course management features are also useful and make organizing content much easier.

Cons

One thing that would make it better is if the onboarding course also supported sub-course functionality.

Pros

Whenever we need assistance, the support team is genuinely helpful and gets things resolved effectively.

Cons

It would be even better to have more templates available, along with more opportunities to see how other agencies and companies are using the LMS and sharing ideas across users.

Simpe setup and administration

Pros

Acorn was up and running pretty easily and managing it has been simple on the admin side. It is also user friendly for users which makes adoption much easier.

Cons

One area that still is a bit unfinished is its workflow system. Since it's relatively new, it could use more development and refinement.

provides helpful training reminders

Pros

Keeping track of the training I need to complete is very easy. I can quickly find the required courses and the system automatically sends reminders when mandatory training is coming up for refresh.

Cons

The default dashboard is quite basic and could use an update, although I understand system administrators can customize it.

Has many useful features

Pros

The customer support has been outstanding. They are a huge help and consistently go above and beyond. They respond quickly, always make time for meetings and help in any way possible. One support person has also been essential in getting our courses and tenancies set up and I am very grateful for all their efforts. Acorn LMS is easy to use and comes with very strong features.

Cons

One feature that would make a big difference is bulk enrolment. At the moment, we still need to rely on the support team for that and it would be much better if we could handle it ourselves. There are also some recurring issues related to video size and length.

Pros

A few of the course links no longer work because some of the content is outdated. It's also been difficult to get updated courses and current information.

Really like the interface

Acorn LMS is a very user friendly tool. The interface is also well designed, simple to follow and overall an amazing tool.

Cons

top class training

Pros

Training history, strong functionality and ongoing development plans make this platform very valuable. The ability to build mandatory training programs, along with the attendance tracking features and reporting tools is especially helpful and gets used every day.

Cons

The Career Pathway feature is important for helping people move through their career development paths but it's not very easy to use. Plus updating job roles and their capabilities takes more effort than it should and moving back and forth between the job role list and individual roles is frustrating. Overall that part of the system isn't very user friendly.

powerful training setup

Pros

The training catalogue, cohort setup, training themes, completed training records and workflow features have made a real difference for us. Getting everything configured was also pretty fuss-free which mattered a lot since we were building our LMS from the ground up with only limited in-house expertise.

Cons

Its integration with our business has worked out really well. Looking ahead I'd love to see the product evolve further into a full Knowledge Management System and I'd be happy to discuss that.

affordable LMS software

Pros

Using it has not been a problem, the pricing is also very affordable and the support team has been amazing. The reporting is quite comprehensive too and overall it's an excellent LMS.

Cons

Since it's still relatively new, the customization options and feature set are a bit limited.

user-friendly with amazing features

Pros

Acorn LMS is a decent tool and the feature set works really well which makes the whole process feel pretty fun overall.

Cons

There are occasional bugs here and there. The first steps came with a bit of a learning curve but once I got past that, it became very simple to use.
