Keeping my study material organized has been the biggest advantage of using this software. As a student in professional school it's really easy to lose track of information especially when relying on flashcards or handwritten notes. This helps a lot by letting me sort my classes by semester and making each deck simple to access so I can go back and review everything efficiently whenever I need to.

Honestly I don't have any complaints. Whether I'm creating my own decks or sharing them with other people the platform makes the whole process user friendly and easy.

The spaced repetition approach works really well especially for building vocabulary while learning a language which is exactly how I use it. Creating flashcards takes only a few seconds, setting up different decks is simple and extending a study session can be done in just a couple of clicks.

Cons

One feature that would really make it better is a reverse option so the two sides of a deck could be flipped automatically. That would make studying feel less mechanical and repetitive and a bit more challenging in a good way. It would also be very useful to group or tag certain cards together like putting them into subcategories so it's easier to review cards that are similar and could be mixed up.

Has been really effective for helping me remember vocabulary in the language I'm studying. Its algorithms are excellent and if you're willing to dig into the settings you can even customize them. It does a very good job of showing difficult words more often while cutting back on the ones I already know which makes memorizing much more effective.

Settings can be pretty confusing to figure out :( There have been times when I tried to stop new flashcards from appearing in one deck, only to realize that the deck was part of a group and I had accidentally stopped them across all of them. Situations like that take some trial and error so it's not always very simple.

Compared with plenty of other flashcard apps this one stands out by being free and open source while still performing nearly as well as the paid alternatives. It gives users a lot of flexibility to build, personalize and study digital flashcards which is a big plus. The spaced repetition system does its job really well and I also appreciate that it works offline as a standalone tool.

Cons

Interface may be slightly difficulty for new users so getting comfortable with it can take some time. On top of that the mobile experience could use some improvement since the desktop version feels far more capable and feature rich.

Pros

It's the only software I've used that truly does this kind of job really well! It's simple, accessible and the algorithm that drives the learning process is easily a 1000/10. It feels genuinely irreplaceable. I've used it for personal projects, I relied on it at university to pass some exams, I was already using it back in high school and now I even use it for work and productivity. To be honest it's so useful that I'd still pay for it even if the price were fairly high.

Cons

I really think it's extremely useful exactly as it is. If I had to nitpick and look for some tiny flaw I'd say the visual design isn't exactly top tier. But I'm saying that as someone with a background in graphic design so it really is more of a very minor detail than a real problem. For what I need it works very well.

One of the best things about this tool is that it lets you download public flashcard decks for all kinds of subjects and languages while also giving you the option to build your own from scratch. I really appreciate the way it schedules the next review interval for each card depending on how difficult you rate it which makes studying feel much more effective.

Don't have much to complain about, the only real reason I don't use it for absolutely everything is more about my own laziness :/ and also because not every topic fits well into simple flashcard style facts.

I'm not into overly complicated ultra modern designs so I actually appreciate the old school feel it has. Of course the spaced repetition system is the biggest highlight since it helps users learn and remember terms much more effectively. It has honestly been a lifesaver for subjects packed with terminology and it's also been incredibly useful for language study. Another big plus is that people can share the decks they create with others which saves a lot of time for anyone who would otherwise have to build the same deck from scratch. That's especially valuable for language learners since there are already so many decks available to start using right away instead of creating new ones.

Even though I'm okay with the interface as it is I still think it could use some improvement. When I first started using the platform it didn't feel very beginner friendly and I believe that part could definitely be made better.

There's definitely some difficulty with certain study setups and creating filtered decks can be a little confusing at first. Some add ons can also lead to crashes which is frustrating. Other than that the iphone app feels expensive especially since the android version is free.

Being able to connect this software to a Duolingo account and pull in vocabulary as I learn it has been really useful. It makes working through my Duolingo Irish lessons much more manageable and helps a lot.

A few parts of it can feel a little confusing to use though that's probably more on me than on the software itself.
