“Handy training inside slack”

Pros

Having it built right into Slack is really convenient since that's where I already spend most of my day anyway.

Cons

The training is mandatory so it can feel a little dull at times.

Pros

Instead of sticking with our old, boring quarterly security awareness training we switched over to this platform and the difference has been huge. The users are much happier with the overall quality and I'm just as happy seeing the completion rates improve. One of the best comments came straight from the boss: "I've literally never done a security training that I could describe as remotely delightful. But this was! What a fun way to learn things. I could not recommend this more!"

“Good clear lessons”

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is the reminder notifications the app sends before a deadline comes up because they help me stay on track. The lessons are also very clear, simple to follow and get straight to the point without unnecessary fluff.

Cons

Quiz feedback can be confusing. After answering the questions it highlights all the choices and shows which ones are correct or incorrect so it's not always obvious which answers I personally got right or wrong.

Pros

It has made essential employee training really easy for our team and it also gives us a clear way on the back end to keep an eye on everyone's progress.

Cons

The scenarios could feel a bit more realistic and the testing feature could do more to explain why an answer is incorrect.

Since our team already spends most of the day in Slackk it's really helpful that we can train everyone properly without having to sign in to a separate platform.

Cons

Not every lesson fully matches our specific business needs but the content is still useful overall.

Pros

Getting employees to complete the training is very easy because the platform is highly accessible. It also lets you quickly build short ad hoc training or acknowledgement modules which is really useful for keeping audit records that show employees have confirmed a policy or lesson.

Cons

It fits our needs very well but one limitation is that the system does not require users to actually watch the video before moving on. Other platforms lock the "next" button until the video has been completed and I can understand why some companies would prefer that level of control.

Pros

Keeping track of training completion status is very easy and it's simple to make sure new employees are added to the right existing training. The Slack integration also fits in smoothly and makes the whole process even more convenient.

Cons

The training course library is still growing compared with some competitors but it still does more than enough to cover compliance needs and general training requirements.

“Smooth training”

Pros

Starting off with security training was incredibly easy since our whole team already works in Slack. Having it built into a tool everyone uses daily means there's no extra place people need to visit just to complete training and that has made the whole experience feel smooth for our team.

Cons

Our security training is organized by department so it would be really helpful if they could automatically assign the right training based on department settings from Google Workspace. Right now we still have to manually assign those courses and even though that process is fairly quick it creates an extra step for HR.

“Brilliant approach using slack for training assignments”

Pros

Using Slack to automate training assignments and track progress for new hires is a really smart approach. It's already a familiar and widely adopted tool so new employees don't have to create accounts for yet another platform when they're just getting started. Setup was incredibly simple and the value has easily justified the cost.

Cons

Reporting around training completion could use some refinement and more broadly there may be some natural limitations to how far a Slack based app can really go.

Pros

It has been really useful for Slack integration, keeping clear records of completed training and sending automated reminders so nothing gets missed.

Cons

The downside is that the customization options are limited and there aren't many training types available.
