“Flexible authoring”

Pros

Getting started with this software is simple and it offers a wide range of options to work with. It also connects well with other authoring tools which makes it very flexible in different workflows. The many built in characters add even more versatility when creating content!

Cons

The downside is the pricing model since it requires at least a one-year subscription. On top of that free customer support is not included and the troubleshooting documentation available could be better.

“looks and feels like a scam”

Curiosity got me to try this out so I visited their website. They offer both French and English but when I selected English the site still switched back to French. Then I saw they advertised a free 30 day version with no credit card required but clicking it just took me to a contact page (again in French). Out of curiosity I tried the "buy" option and that worked right away by sending me straight to a shopping cart. I went back to the main site hoping to see examples of their work but there were none at all. They mention references and partners yet there wasn't a single interactive sample anywhere which is strange for a company calling itself a "serious game" developer. I first came across them through an e learning page on LinkedIn and I messaged them to point out that the site (as far as I could tell) didn't function properly while still trying to charge $220 a month for their mid tier tool. Compared to something like Unity (which is basically the benchmark for game design tools) and it costs $35 for plus while also offering a fully working free version for personal use this pricing feels absurd! Apparently sending that message was a mistake because I got my first LinkedIn group block in five years almost immediately after. Maybe they're a legitimate company with very poor web design or maybe they're rushing their product out far too quickly but from the outside it really comes across like a scam.
