“Good choice for smaller institutions
Pros
I really appreciate how we can use this system across our entire campus. It handles just about everything students, faculty and staff need day-to-day. Having one solution for most of our routine tasks makes everything so much easier.
Cons
There are still a few areas in the payroll and HR modules that could use some updates. We end up using other software to fill in the gaps like for time tracking and generating custom reports for state-specific tax requirements.

“Trustworthy platform with room to grow
Pros
My experience has been really good with how this creates one central system that everyone in our organization can easily use. It's flexible and whenever we need help, the customer support team is amazing. Our main departments rely on it every single day.
Cons
It's difficult to use for some team members at first but most people catch on quickly once they see the value.

“All in one solution
Pros
The user interface really improves things for everyone. Faculty, students and staff can all use it much more easily. What really impressed me was how the housing management features properly accommodate transgender students. It's great to see such inclusive design.
Cons
I can't think of any major issues right now.

“complete solution for managing universities
Pros
It has come a long way. It used to have an outdated interface but now it's a sleek, modern web-based system. This update allowed us to rethink workflows and make everything way more efficient. The implementation was so well-organized and the project team did a great job keeping everything on track and within budget. The support staff has been there for us whenever we've needed help.
Cons
The new iPaaS has definitely made things better compared to the old custom integration headaches but it's still complicated to work with. New users will face difficulties when they start using it.

“perfect Solution for J1 Web Users
Pros
I've been using it since we switched in 2022 and the support team is honestly the best I've dealt with. We started with the desktop version but switched to the web platform which is even better. The JRM module has really boosted our enrollment by around 15%. We're using JICS and the mobile web version now and we're planning to switch to the mobile app for virtual ID cards. The web platform works great with DUO MFA, so security is solid whether we're on campus or working remotely.
Cons
Their maintenance costs used to be very high but I'll admit it was worth it. Things got a lot better when we moved to J1 and the pricing became much more reasonable. Now, we can access all the features just by keeping up with maintenance on newer stuff like the chatbot and retention tools.

“easy to use but costly
Pros
Interface is interactive and user-friendly. Staff and faculty can easily access student info, update grades, generate reports and track progress. What I love is how customizable it is and we can configure it to fit our institution's needs perfectly. It covers everything: student admission, enrollment, billing, financial aid management and course scheduling. The integration with financial systems, payroll and HR platforms works smoothly. It's also scalable and handles high transaction volumes which is a big deal for busy academic environments. Plus, the security is top-notch, meeting all the privacy requirements for higher education. It's best choice for any institution looking to manage admin tasks and enhance the student experience.
Cons
For us, the upfront costs can be overwhelming, between consultants, staff training and new hardware, the budget really takes a hit. Getting everything set up isn't exactly easy either. While you can customize a lot, I've found that certain tweaks we needed weren't possible without extra development work which gets expensive quickly. Integration with our existing systems has been trickier than I expected, especially since our IT setup is pretty complicated. Customer support could be better too and when we've run into issues, getting the help we need hasn't always been smooth.

“Great Jenzabar sync but window management is tricky
Pros
The syncing with other Jenzabar systems works great and I love how I can customize my workspace to show the links, reports and content I use most often.
Cons
The window behavior when minimizing and maximizing can be tricky to manage especially with certain monitor setups or limited screen space.

“my experience with this!
Pros
It's totally organizing our workflows in ways I didn't expect. The implementation process has us rethinking how we handle daily operations. The project team is genuinely invested in helping us find better ways to do things. They're not just setting up software and they're helping us rethink our processes to make everything run smoother.
Cons
I haven't found any major issues so far, though I'm worried that our existing CX customizations might cause some problems during implementation.

“Constantly evolving and improving
Pros
They're constantly pushing forward with new technology and really listening to what customers need. The way they take our feedback and actually integrate it into updates shows they're truly committed to improving the user experience.
Cons
Email support can be really frustrating when dealing with complex issues. It would be so much easier to resolve things over a quick screen share or Teams call, sometimes, it's just easier to show someone what's going on instead of explaining it in messages.

“Simplified management for higher education
Pros
It has been very versatile and makes my enrollment work way smoother. As someone working in university enrollment, it's the perfect SIS for us. Generating reports with specific criteria is easy and I can quickly access and download student transcripts whenever I need them. The registration process flows smoothly too. What really stands out is how we use it for purchase order generation and approval and the whole process feels simple. I also love being able to pull student reports filtered by admissions counselors, add notes to student accounts and access shared reports from departments like financial aid.
Cons
I rely on it for everything I do but lately, it keeps crashing and freezing way too often. Our IT team is working with the company to fix these problems but it seems like they're getting worse. I'm also not a fan of how the latest update looks and finding specific fields has become much harder and their placement doesn't make sense anymore. Everything feels cluttered now when it used to be much more easy to use.
