Easy to use right away

Pros

I find Khan Academy super easy to use. I had my profile set up in no time and could jump right into lessons. Moving between different courses and my own page is really smooth

Cons

Sometimes the explanations felt a bit long, while other times I wished they went into more depth. I also noticed the practice problems started to feel a little repetitive after a while

an amazing library of knowledge

Pros

What's amazing about Khan Academy is that no matter what I want to learn, from math to history to science it's got me covered. It's like having a whole library of knowledge right at my fingertips

Cons

Sometimes they go through a lesson way too fast and end up making a simple skill seem really complicated.

A leader in online learning!

Pros

Khan Academy was doing online learning way before it was cool. Even now, the content is top-notch and works as a great teaching tool for everyone, no matter their age or grade level.

Cons

I wish there were better assessment tools for my students who have special needs or are still learning English.

Great for students!

Pros

My favorite thing is how easily it fits into self-paced learning. The lessons are so well organized and the whole program is a snap to use. The tutorial videos in the lessons are a huge help for my students. I give them about fifteen minutes a day on the math lessons and it's made a real difference in their skills. It's not our main curriculum but it's perfect for extra practice and filling in the gaps.

Cons

There's not much I dislike but the homepage can feel really busy and cluttered. My students often get overwhelmed and have no idea where to click to find their assignments. They get used to it but at first, there's just so much on the screen.

Works well with other apps

Pros

It lines up with a lot of different curriculums and covers things step-by-step, I can use it whenever I need to. It's free, which is amazing and the lessons have a human touch that starts from the very basics. I also love that I can easily connect it to other apps I use, like Google Classroom and Kahoot. Plus, it covers so many subjects!

Cons

The app uses a ton of data and I feel like the point system makes kids compete for points instead of actually learning. It also seems to only focus on the Common Core way of doing math.

a perfect, free learning tool

Pros

We LOVE Khan Academy. My husband found it years ago for our oldest daughter and the content matches exactly what kids are learning in each grade. Now my son is in Kindergarten and he's using it too. Any topic they've had trouble with is on this app. And the best part? It's free!

Cons

My only complaint is that I wish it was available in Spanish! Both my kids are in a dual-language program and we love Khan Academy so much that I'd love a Spanish version for their grade level.

Simple and fun to use

Pros

This platform has great resources, a cool website design and fun learning activities. Nothing is ever too complex, which makes it really nice to use.

Cons

It works great without any errors. Maybe it could have some customization options to suit my taste but it's not a big deal.

Very helpful tool for my class

Pros

It's an easy tool for my students to use when they're stuck on a topic and it's easy for me to assign because it works right inside the other programs I use to track their progress.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the narrator's voice. It bugs me how they repeat everything.

Fantastic teaching tool!

Pros

It has a lot of exercises and it actually explains the answers to students when they get something wrong. For me, the best part is that I can track my students progress and customize the lessons to fit exactly what we're learning in class.

Cons

I don't really have any complaints. The only thing is that a few of my students found the platform a little tricky to use at first but they always figure it out in a few minutes.

Best place to study for tests

Pros

It's a decent place to learn about competitive exams. The daily MCQ content is good and changes often. The best part is how they connect current events to the study material, which is really helpful for the prelims. Their mains exam content is also very good with great mock papers.

Cons

I've noticed they only focus on the UPSC exams and don't have any material for state-level civil service papers.

My quick answer finder

Pros

Its such a great learning tool. Whatever I want to know, I can just look it up on the spot, no matter where I am or what time it is.

Cons

one thing I don't like is that sometimes they don't have study material for what I'm actually looking for. Other than that, it's all good.

Lifesaver for tricky topics

Pros

I use it all the time to help me understand tricky topics. The guidelines for each subject are a lifesaver.

Cons

It's great for school subjects but I wish it also helped me develop skills through extracurricular activities. It would be awesome if it gave me guidelines for that stuff alongside the academic lessons.

Awesome but needs certificates

Pros

It's really good, super easy to use and the content and courses are top-notch.

Cons

I do not like that you don't get a certificate when you finish a course. It would be so cool to be able to share that on my LinkedIn profile.

Good for learning

Pros

I like that Khan Academy has so many different types of courses. It's perfect for someone like me who wants to learn about a bit of everything. The fact that it's completely free for everyone is amazing. Plus, the quizzes after each lesson really help me see what I've learned.

Cons

They only have subtitles for a few major languages and I wish they had more advanced courses. Most of the stuff is for beginners. Also, the website design could be more fun and engaging.
