central hub for learning

Pros

Having one centralized place for different learning opportunities has been really useful. There's a good mix of learning options available which makes the platform feel versatile and convenient to use.

Cons

Some of the courses and content that were pulled in felt a bit too broad instead of being specific enough. I'd also like the platform to offer more customized suggestions and recommendations based on the topics and content I was actually looking at.

useful training paths

Pros

Adding resources and setting up training paths is easy and the platform is simple to use overall.

Cons

The default content categories feel a bit too broad and would be better if they could be customized. Paying with one-time card numbers is also inconvenient.

Rich content and wide course variety

Pros

It offers a lot of content and a wide selection of options. On top of that, it lets us explore courses across different platforms and learn through a variety of content modules.

Cons

With so many choices available, it can be a bit difficult to find the course that fits best.

Easy to find courses

Pros

Finding courses is convenient for employees and the platform really feels built around employee-driven learning. It also gives managers a simple way to review and approve training requests.

Cons

It seems to be geared more toward individual contributors, with fewer options for management-level users and above. That said, you do have the ability to build on it and add more.

Fits everyone's needs

Pros

With a team made up of people from very different backgrounds, from technical roles to marketing, OneRange offers learning opportunities that work well for everyone.

Cons

At this point, I haven't come across any downsides. The platform has been working really well for our team.

Well-organized UI

Pros

The interface feels very organized so getting to the right place doesn't take much effort. There are also plenty of prepopulated resource options available and having the budget visible makes it simple to see exactly what's left to spend throughout the year.

Cons

We've only recently started using it and at this point we haven't run into any issues.

pricey setup

Pros

Having employee budgets in place, along with assigned or approved items, works really well. The Amazon Prime integration is also a big plus because it helps get books to employees fast. It's also helpful that employees can suggest items they want and send them through an approval workflow.

Cons

On the downside, the pricing model is hard to ignore. They keep the credit card rewards, require you to prepay and maintain a balance with them and the per-user charges are fairly high as well.

quick resource requests

Pros

Requesting educational resources is really simple which makes the whole process convenient.

Cons

One thing that could make it even better is a way to browse educational resources by specific categories like tech soft skills and similar topics.

Well defined budget

Pros

Getting courses approved by a manager or the company is a really smooth process which makes the whole experience much better. I also appreciate that there's a defined budget in place so it's always clear how much can be spent when requesting courses for development.

Cons

It would be really useful to have the ability to edit submissions while they're still waiting for approval.
