Pros

After having prior experience with Moodle, it was a breath of fresh air to have a hosted LMS with excellent support and a superbly curated version of Moodle at an affordable price point. I'm genuinely impressed!

From our experience, I find the current setup of the LMS to be more restrictive compared to the past. However, I understand that these restrictions are intentional and serve to enhance the usability of the LMS. In the past, when we had more freedom, we often encountered issues as we pushed the system beyond its capabilities. Pluto, being experts in the field, have designed the LMS with these restrictions in mind.

Working with this platform has been a really positive experience. It offers an impressive range of courses and the interface is simple and user-friendly. On top of that the customer service is excellent and very responsive.

The reporting customization could be better but aside from that, the product feels like it's heading in the right direction.

Pluto LMS has been a very user-friendly platform and the standout feature for me is the LTI functionality which lets me integrate eLearning content directly into my clients' LMS. The support from every level of the team has been exceptional as well. They have helped my team at Continuum Solutions LLC with the Healthier Campus Initiative eLearning modules and also supported my clients during LTI integration testing.

Cons

I really haven't run into anything I dislike. The only thing I can see coming up down the line is possibly needing more customized reporting options.

Working with Pluto has been fantastic. The platform gives us plenty of room to tailor it to our company's specific needs and it's very user-friendly for our clients. Plus its support team has been exceptional as well. They consistently go above and beyond to assist us, offer guidance and make customizations when needed. They're always approachable, happy to help and very quick to respond. They even prioritized one of our feature requests to support us.

Honestly I don't have any complaints. Both the LMS itself and the support team have been excellent.

Working with PlutoLMS has been a very positive experience. Their team is responsive, helpful and clearly focused on meeting business requirements whether that means delivering exactly what's needed or coming up with practical alternative solutions. On the product side it offers a familiar and dependable experience built on a mature, globally established platform. At the time of this review that platform supports more than 182,000 active sites across 243 countries including many top universities which gives a lot of confidence that it's a great long-term investment. The system also offers an impressive range of functionality and the possibilities feel almost limitless for curriculum and content developers.

Cons

Because the underlying platform has been around for a long time some parts of it can seem a bit dated at first glance. That said, the overall feature depth, breadth and stability it provides still put many newer-looking alternatives at a disadvantage when it comes to actual functionality. The biggest usability challenge is probably that the content management system used by authors also defines the basic course delivery structure so it is closely tied to the default student experience. There are ways to work around or move beyond that limitation but they require some research and a bit of time to understand.

Pros

Having everything connected in a single browser tab has completely changed how we handle teaching, learning and community building. It brings together our calendars, coursework, virtual classrooms, family communication, student information, admin updates and even celebrations for attendance and achievement in one platform that is very user-friendly. It works well on mobile phones too which was important for us. The team behind it has also been a huge plus as they genuinely listen, care, collaborate on solutions and stay invested in the success of our students, teachers and school leaders. We're able to run virtual classes through Zoom, BigBlueButton, Google Meet, Webex and Microsoft Teams and even mix platforms depending on the class. On top of that we can motivate students and staff with points, leaderboards, badges and certificates. Course creation is flexible as well, with support for videos, annotated presentations, uploads and downloads. Grading and feedback are easy too and it's incredibly helpful to view student work across the full term in one place while also spotting larger learning trends through built-in reports. We can also create quick site tours to help orient students and teachers. After dealing with too many tabs and unclear pricing elsewhere, we wanted something accessible on both desktop and mobile, efficient for our workflows through bulk uploads, course cloning and Zapier integrations and backed by a reliable team. This tool has been exactly that for us.

Cons

No cons to share as after working with a lot of different LMS platforms, this one stands out as the best we've used. We especially value the transparent and fair pricing, the honest communication around platform capacity, the strong support and partnership, the simple implementation and how simple and approachable the system is overall.
