“Dull and poor experience
Pros
I find the system relatively easy to use and as an instructor I can create and initiate chat topics for my classes.
Cons
Having relied on it for roughly two years until my company transitioned to a competing system, I discovered that the visual design is uninspiring and that the channels connecting students and instructors are very limited, essentially email, delayed-chat functionality and forums which combine to create a rather lifeless interaction, additionally I was forced to copy and paste my rubric into the grading interface.

“Clean, functional and a bit bland
Pros
From my perspective, Sakai's interface presents a decidedly easy, hierarchical structure that keeps things neat and simple to use and while I find it clean and practical it doesn't strike me as being as visually appealing as some other LMS platforms, still, it provides the core capabilities I need quizzes, testing tools, discussion boards and resource sharing and I'm able to take advantage of many of the common LMS add-ins that are available for Sakai as well.
Cons
What I find least appealing about the it is its rather bland, utilitarian appearance since in comparison platforms like Blackboard tend to offer a more welcoming, colorful first impression when I sign in, largely because administrators have alot of customization and theming options to create a more engaging visual environment.

“Modular and powerful but dated
Pros
Because of its modular design, our IT team is able to assemble and customize applications that suit our specific operational requirements which gives us the flexibility we need.
Cons
In my experience, it offers noticeably less out-of-the-box functionality compared with other CMS options and because a large portion of the user interface feels antiquated, I frequently find myself having to perform more clicks than I would anticipate for common tasks in a contemporary software product.

“Friendly front with clunky backend
Pros
it's very user-friendly and I was able to learn how to use its features quite rapidly while the assignments automatically synchronize with the gradebook.
Cons
I've found the gradebook to be cumbersome, the chat function almost useless and evaluating discussion board posts an utter nightmare.

“Everything you need after training
Pros
When I need to find something, this product performs exceptionally well because it lays out every option clearly and accessibly.
Cons
I personally find it rather difficult to go through the interface, so I needed to receive some formal training before I could confidently dive in.
