“easy for students but missing a checklist”

Pros

As a student who uses Schoology, I appreciate how easy it is to see all my classes. There's even a separate 'Groups' section for clubs or other activities. It also connects with Powerschool which makes it easier for teachers to put in grades. The Calendar and Agenda features help me manage my upcoming work. There are tons of notification settings you can change for each class. There's even a built-in messaging system to talk to teachers. It connects with a lot of other services (like Google Docs) so you often don't even have to leave the site to do your work. It also saves your progress on tests if you have to take a break.

Cons

One feature that could use improvement is the Agenda and Calendar view. There's no way to see if you've completed an assignment without clicking on it. As a student, it's hard to remember what you've turned in, so a checkbox next to assignments would be nice. I also hear my school pays a lot to use it when Google Classroom is free and easy.

Schoology allows for easy reconciliation with our school's report where grades are automatically imported to report cards visible to both students and parents. The interface is straightforward making it simple to organize your classroom for a specific class.

Cons

When composing task remarks the default is to withhold them from students. To make them visible you must check a box before submitting a setting that's notably difficult to change. Having more than one student account is prohibited.

A notable feature is the capability to attach videos and other media to enhance the learning experience. The AssignmentAssessment system remains a crucial component.

Cons

The user interface may be excessively plain.

It serves as an outstanding program for distributing assignments and lessons collecting student assignments communicating in writing with students and managing relationships and interdependence within the school administration.

Cons

This program lacks direct communication and the establishment of virtual classrooms for online audio and video discussions.

The app provides the ability to see both of your kids their classes and their current work proving especially helpful for a middle school student.

Cons

Navigating each class is more complicated on the app and sending mass emails to teachers isn't supported.

There's not much to alter in this software it suits my family's needs well. However having an option for SMS messages would be advantageous.

I appreciated the functionality and numerous features. Schoology offers a lot and while it may seem overwhelming initially becoming more familiar with the software reveals its ease of use and extensive features.

The principal issue revolves around the outdated and uninteresting interface potentially diminishing user engagement. Despite its functionality the interface falls short of expectations.

As a district that had previously utilized an open-source substitute, we indeed took a chance by introducing a new, paid solution. As a result, our teachers have responded positively to the platform. Moreover, since Schoology has a social networking platform-like feel, it is simple to use and makes sense when put to use.

Cons

We still cannot add repeating events to a calendar, though it is announced that its coming in the future. Additionally, badges are hidden on the iOS device, which is weird. Finally, I wish there were "due dates" for assignments in addition to "assigned on" dates.

Schoology proves highly beneficial for schools especially during the COVID pandemic aiding educators and students in staying informed and engaged during classes.

Cons

My least preferred aspect of Schoology is its dull and uninteractive interface especially when compared to tools like Google Classroom or Class Dojo.

I am not sure what I dislike. Maybe there should be a feature where parents can have their own account to keep tabs on their kids and message teachers?

My experience with this program is twofold having used it as a master student and for my students. While it fulfills the expected functions of an LMS improvements are needed in terms of UI experience and assignment tracking.

Cons

Assignment tracking demands a robust solution even postdue date students perceive it as upcoming. It might be a minor glitch but it proves demotivating for students.

While the software is generally commendable it lacks a virtual classroom for online learning. Management should consider this for prospective enhancements.

I wouldn't object to seeing a countup clock rather than a countdown timer when timing students. It could potentially alleviate anxiety for them.

Overall I appreciate it but there's room for improvement particularly in terms of diversifying the question types.

It was interactive enough that I could set up my classroom without reading a manual. I loved that I could color-code folders so both my students and I could instantly see which folder we needed in a unit.

Cons

As a teacher, I can set up my Schoology page to make perfect sense to me. But as a parent, it's clear there's no standard way teachers set things up. It gets really frustrating for students and parents. The ability for every teacher to design their own folder system, while well-intentioned, just makes it harder for us to use.

The inclusion of an "app marketplace" significantly broadens Schoology's capabilities.

Cons

Schoology's only downside for me is the lack of proper report cards. It might be more convenient to rely on PowerSchool or another solution, but having integrated report cards in Schoology would be a winning feature.
