Decent Content

Pros

While Skillsoft offers a host platform for free with content purchase, we opted for a different provider due to newer and more extensive content offerings.

Cons

There are not many language options yet, and most courses are outdated. Content does not match the cost.

I have been using Skillport for my company training over the last few weeks

Pros

it simplifies onboarding with its centralized lesson repository and user-friendly interface, facilitating easy tracking and recording of progress.

Cons

The outdated user interface is my least favorite aspect, but it is manageable. Video lessons definitely need updating.

One of the best self-paced learning platforms I've used. Great for quick sessions or certifications.

Pros

Legacy LMS that was really a Content Portal turned LMS

Pros

One standout feature of the system is its ability to update eLearning content without disrupting user progress,a feature not always present in other systems I have encountered.

Cons

Skillport seems designed around Skillsoft's extensive content catalog, with added tracking and the ability for companies to upload their content. However, transitioning from another LMS to Skillport can be clunky and complex for both admins and users. The UI resembles a dated Windows 3.1 application, and course setup is overly complex. Reporting capabilities are weak, lacking question-level analytics.

Pros

Adding users, assigning training, and generating reports on Skillsoft is relatively straightforward. While the customer service may not be flawless, it gets the job done.

Cons

Pros

I found Skillsoft to be fairly intuitive to use and navigate. When I started my current job, I had numerous courses to complete, and I encountered no issues in completing them all.

Cons

This software feels severely outdated, especially concerning courses for improving Microsoft application skills. The courses are cumbersome to navigate and dull to learn from. There's a dire need for improvement in their course offerings.

Pros

I have found the IT content to be incredibly detailed and beneficial. While it may not be for everyone, it is the only content that I have found truly relevant and useful.

Cons

My experience with Skillport, powered by Skillsoft, has not quite met my expectations. Some courses are excessively long, lasting over 60 minutes, making it hard to maintain focus after the first 10-15 minutes. The content feels passive and lacks engagement or interactivity.
