The specific programs I'm looking for just aren't available yet. I was really hoping to find a detailed two part course focused on AWS serverless development that would take me through everything from small to medium sized projects. That would be perfect for where I am in my learning journey right now.

I love how this platform offers such a broad selection of courses that really help you build practical skills in fields that are actually in demand right now. The fact that you can earn certificates is a nice bonus too. What really works for me is the self paced approach. I can learn when it fits my schedule and everything feels easy to get around and put into practice. Having their own chat gpt feature for help is pretty convenient plus getting support from both peers and mentors makes the whole learning experience feel less isolated.

Cons

Cloud lab access is pretty limited at just 10 hours which creates a real problem when you're waiting for mentor support. By the time they get back to you about an issue, the lab session has already expired and all your work gets wiped out.

The content quality was solid and I really appreciated the instructor's video explanations.

The workspace feature has some glitches that can be annoying. When I submit projects, the feedback I get back is pretty vague. It doesnt give me enough detail about what actually went wrong which makes it hard to fix issues.

This course is put together thoughtfully in my opinion. It genuinely feels like they understand what learners actually need right now. The quick refresher sections are perfect for getting back up to speed on things I'd learned before and the structure makes it easy to follow along. What impressed me most was the breadth of topics covered and how they brought in real industry experts to develop the content. It's clear they didn't just throw this together, there's real substance here that reflects current market demands.

By my experience, the courses have excellent structure. You build necessary skills step by step before tackling a final project for evaluation. Its simple making it easy to revisit earlier lessons when I need to refresh my memory. I can track my progress and see time estimates for upcoming sections which helps with planning.. Almost every lesson includes small quizzes or tasks that let me practice what I've learned and gauge my understanding. When questions come up, mentors are accessible and the Knowledge Base community is really supportive. What I appreciate most is being able to apply these skills immediately at work and the learning translates directly to real-world situations.

The coding doesn't work consistently across different browsers. I've tested it on Firefox, Chrome and Edge with mixed results.

Sometimes the quizzes jump ahead and ask about stuff I haven't covered yet. There are also multiple ways to solve problems but it only accepts one specific answer as correct.

After exploring the platform and looking around, I found the course content to be absolutely top-notch. What I especially appreciate is interacting with the team and getting those project reviews, they're incredibly valuable. I still go back and read through them regularly to see how I can apply the feedback in my current role and align it with my goal of becoming a Self-Driving Engineer. Studying here feels like a luxury where you connect with classmates from around the globe forming genuine friendships that last. We support each other as we work toward our career aspirations. My thinking has really evolved through this experience and I'm grateful that when I make mistakes, the team helps me understand what went wrong so I can learn from it.

A few projects dont have enough mentors which makes things really challenging. Since late last year, support just sends generic troubleshooting steps like "clear your cache" instead of actually helping with real issues. I used to get amazing help from support staff who genuinely cared and took time to understand problems. They were like sunshine! Still love the platform after all these years and the lecture materials are absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back for another Nanodegree when things settle down globally.

What really sets this apart from competitors like Coursera and Udemy is how customizable the learning experience feels. The community features are nice too. Being able to connect and chat with other students makes everything feel less isolating.

It gets pricey since you have to pay for each course separately which can really add up. Also frustrating that there's no mobile app available and you're stuck using a computer or tablet to access everything.

If I had to pick something, I guess I spent so many hours diving into the coursework and projects that I didn't really take advantage of the community features like chatting with other students or joining discussions. But that's more on me than the platform itself.

For me the course material became more confusing around lesson 3, making it harder to follow along. The explanations of database types weren't very logical,which made the practical examples difficult to understand. Also, it used outdated AWS version examples, so setting up things like Redshift and EMR clusters was pretty tricky.

I picked up web crawling with Python during this course which really opened up big data analysis for me. Now I can gather information from websites I'm interested in and actually extract meaningful insights from all that data.

I wish they offered hands-on workshops to make learning more engaging and fun. Also, they should mention upfront when assignments need ongoing work like keeping your Github code updated for 2 weeks so you can plan accordingly.

I like how they actively seek feedback and provide AI support for any questions you might have. If something isn't clear, you can just ask the AI assistant and if your still not satisfied with the response, there are forums available for additional help. Everything is designed to prepare you for real-world applications with actual projects waiting at the end of each course so you get hands-on practice. My company has also created custom learning paths which adds another layer of support. Knowing that completing my path with 4 different nanodegrees will earn me a Data Analyst certification is really motivating. It's a great way for organizations to invest in there employees' development.

While the online format means missing out on that collaborative classroom vibe you'd get in person, they do provide solid support through FAQs, chat help and mentors to bridge that gap.
