user-friendly, great for collaboration and student motivation

Pros

The platform is incredibly user-friendly across multiple classrooms. Co-teachers can share the same account, which lets both of us see assignments and use the program. I really appreciate being able to assign quizzes and organize competitions with other schools, it's great for keeping students motivated.

Cons

I haven't really come across anything negative about this program yet. It's been helpful and gives detailed feedback on both student progress and word mastery levels.

Helpful for Building Vocabulary

Pros

I like being able to build custom lists or pick from the pre-made ones. The spelling practice feature is a great touch and my kids are obsessed with the game format!

Cons

Moving between screens can be pretty complicated.

Engaging Tool, students actually enjoy

Pros

I can easily upload entire word lists for specific units, and the platform handles the rest. Students actually learn the vocabulary and come to class more prepared, which shows in their participation and grades. Our school has noticed significant improvements in students background knowledge and vocabulary development since we started using this tool.

Cons

The text selection feature doesn't automatically detect grade-appropriate vocabulary levels, which would have been really helpful. Most of the pre-made word lists from other educators have inconsistent difficulty levels and lexile ratings, so I usually end up creating my own lists from scratch rather than trying to fix what's already there.

kids can practice independently!

Pros

The kids can access CTSAT vocabulary and practice exercises, plus they can go online independently to play games and work on speech words themselves

Cons

Some words can be overly challenging for lower-level students, especially when you're teaching just one grade level.

Effective student progress tracking tool

Pros

I can track how well each student is picking up the vocabulary I've assigned and monitor their progress along the way.

Cons

The free tier limits your view to just the top 3 performers, so you can't track everyone's progress.
