This has been a really satisfying product to use because of its features and it makes creating simulations very simple. I absolutely love it and would recommend it without hesitation!

It's a very good product overall but the price is quite high.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit complex at first since the instructional design approach differs from more traditional e learning tools. That said the many articles, video tutorials, the VTStack instructional design support platform and the certification training offered by ISTF help you get past that fairly quickly.

Pros

The flexibility of the tool is a real plus, the rendered results are high quality and it offers several different approaches to anchor learning effectively.

Cons

Testing and validating different decision trees on complex multilingual projects can take quite a while.

The design interface is genuinely very pleasant to use and feels nice to work in.

Cons

The drag and drop features are still too minimal. The character animations are varied but a few things are missing like being able to control the gaze direction of an inactive character or handling appearance/disappearance during a scenario... it just leaves you wanting more.

Pros

Being able to customize training scenarios based on each learner's areas for improvement is a real advantage.

Cons

In my view the characters still aren't diverse or customizable enough yet. I know Serious Factory is working on it and I'm hoping they go even further in that area to better support inclusion for everyone.

Pros

The "editor" model for building simulations that can become autonomous is really interesting. I also appreciate the sound features and the ability to manage variables with a very fine level of control.

Cons

Handling how the variables are displayed still isn't very accessible.

Pros

Being able to build stories with multiple branching paths is a real strength and the option to create debriefings based on the learner's choices through variables is especially valuable.

Cons

One limitation is that there's no way to preview the experience you created while also keeping the graph open in another window to follow the selected path at the same time.

Pros

It's a complete tool for building fun serious games with plenty of features and lots of possibilities to work with. The community is also really helpful when you need support during the creation process.

Cons

The design process is enjoyable but it can take quite a bit of time. You do need to invest time to understand and manage the different functions properly.

“affordable multilingual voiceovers”

Pros

One of its biggest strengths is its text to speech feature which makes turning written content into voice narration very easy. It's especially useful for creating narrated training in other languages at a much lower cost since traditional voice over work gets expensive fast when you need to roll out training across many countries.

Cons

On the text to speech side one feature that still feels missing is phonetic support ideally with a glossary. That would avoid having to manually tweak things too much when you need the exact pronunciation of a word in a local language.

The authoring tool feels refreshingly original and it offers a lot of potential when it comes to gamification.

Cons

What's missing is a more complete library of other e learning resources and images.
