Its cool that it gives you three tries on graded assignments, that's pretty helpful when you're working through tough problems. I really tried to think of other positives about this platform, but honestly thats about all I could come up with that was worth mentioning.

Cons

The "24-hour live support" claim is misleading. When I tried contacting them, instead of getting live chat or a call, I just got a screen saying they'd "look into the problem" after filling out a questionnaire. The lesson slides barely help with actual graded problems, and sometimes you can't even see what you did wrong. During one lesson, they left out crucial information that made the multi-step accounting dropdowns really confusing. They pile way too much work into single questions instead of breaking them up, which makes everything take forever. Plus, they keep asking the same types of questions over and over (like balance sheets and income statements) rather than giving variety. The tests only cover about 25% of chapter material, but it's always the hardest 25%. For basic tasks like filling out financial statements, you have to do simple math that programs should handle automatically, we're talking basic addition and subtraction that actual accounting software does for you. They also overcomplicate everything instead of teaching the direct, correct approach, turning simple concepts into confusing messes. Me and my classmates are constantly struggling and not grasping the topics despite being studious. I've rewatched their slide presentations and examples multiple times but still don't understand most material. Had to get a tutor (who's an actual accountant) to explain things properly in a clear, direct way.

“Smooth integration with Canvas

Pros

I really like how well this integrates with Canvas LMS. My students get instant updates on their homework progress right in the gradebook, and they can easily access all the resources they need without leaving their LMS environment.

Cons

Sometimes the homework has wrong answers or the drawing software gets buggy. When I reach out to support though, they fix things pretty quickly.

Can't print exams from the platform which is really annoying when you need hard copies.

I can really relate to the struggle of getting students to actually read their assigned chapters. This platform has been a game-changer for me in achieving that goal by incorporating adaptive practice exercises into the grading structure. What makes these adaptive practices truly unique is how they're designed, students can't just wing it without doing the reading if they want full credit. When students come prepared, they can quickly identify which concepts they've mastered and which ones need more work. However, if someone's struggling with a particular topic, the system cleverly prompts them to review earlier foundational concepts that connect to what they're currently learning. For instance, a student having trouble with stress-related physiological changes might get directed back to review biology fundamentals first. This interconnected approach really sets it apart from other publishers' offerings. Being a family-owned company, you can feel those values throughout the entire experience. After adopting the textbook, I was paired with both a customer success manager and a digital learning executive who made the transition smooth and enjoyable. The results speak for themselves. I've seen noticeable improvements in student performance since adopting the adaptive practices. Just finished my first 8-week session and was amazed when calculating final grades. Not a single D or F in the bunch.

I'm saving tons of time since grading homework is automated now. The PowerPoint slides in the instructor resources and test bank are really useful. The interactive videos and tutorials help students grasp concepts and do well in class.

Browser compatibility is pretty limited, especially with Internet Explorer, though I expect they'll fix this eventually.
