You can define the item definition and HARA, derive safety goals, build functional and technical safety concepts, connect requirements and carry out FMEA, FMEDA and FTA all within the same environment. The traceability is very detailed which makes the whole process much more manageable. The latest version also adds support for security activities. It integrates well with other company tools too since it supports import and export with other requirements management platforms like DOORS.

The BIRT add-in used for creating custom report templates is quite difficult to work with and requires some JavaScript knowledge. Its user manual is very limited and most of the help available comes from the Medini forum.
