“Recommended for creating models in motion or when working remotely.”
Pros
While it may not offer the same features as high end applications like CATIA, it can be utilized on laptop computers without any issues. When a remote connection is not possible it can still be used for model construction and drawing.
Cons
Despite being cloud based we primarily use local storage due to security concerns. To ensure consistent performance and adapt to changing security standards, the loading of files and data format conversion should be done through local storage for each company.

“Awesome but a little bit costly”
Pros
The advantage of CATIA lies in its powerful 3D CAD/CAM software for product design and development. It is easily learnable and user friendly making it accessible to users of all skill levels. It also provides customization options to cater to specific needs. Additionally it offers a wide range of features and tools for creating complex designs and it seamlessly integrates with other software programs.
Cons
The main con of this software is its high cost making it difficult for smaller businesses to afford. It can also be challenging to learn and use. especially for new users who need to get up to speed quickly. Troubleshooting and resolving software issues can also be difficult. Additionally it is not compatible with all operating systems, limiting its usability on certain platforms. Compared to some other CAD/CAM software programs, it may not be as user friendly.

“Great CAD application”
Pros
CATIA is undoubtedly one of the most reliable and powerful CAD software available. It offers countless features that provide maximum flexibility when designing a part, assembly or an entire facility. Beyond being CAD software, CATIA also assists with manufacturing tasks and creating processes for specific jobs.
Cons
The only downfall of using CATIA is its outdated user interface. Its surprising that Dassault has put so much effort into improving the UI of SolidWorks but has done little for CATIA. Experienced users may not consider it an issue but as someone transitioning from SolidWorks to CATIA, I faced difficulties adjusting.

“Great Software for 3D and 2D engineering design”
Pros
We needed to create 3D models as the base file for our 3D printer project. Our goal was to design complex curves and surprisingly, it was so easy with the CATIA. One standout feature was the seamless integration with our native 3D printer software allowing us to effortlessly convert files to the required format.
Cons
Due to its a lot of customization options there is a learning curve to overcome. and you need to invest time to become well versed in the software. However once you grasp it, it becomes quite easy to use.

“3D Experience Solution for Product Design”
Pros
CATIA introduced the concept of 3 dimensional modeling which is truly amazing. It makes the designers approach easier allowing thoughts to be easily transformed into 3D models. It has saved a lot of costs for prototyping and time to market. Managing the design history is effortless and it allows for easy conversion between 2D and 3D.
Cons
Honestly I do not see many limitations with this software except for the cost, which may be justified for larger organizations but not affordable for smaller ones.
