It serves as a comprehensive database for all the jobs we handle. We can quickly and efficiently compare, repeat and process new or existing orders.
Cons
Reporting can be complex, but there is training available, and it's up to me to take advantage of it!

“A complete all round package”
Pros
One of the standout features of this software is its ease of use. Navigating from quotes to works orders, and subsequently to delivery notes, invoices, purchasing, parts, materials and even subcontracting/tooling, is easily achieved using the convenient green arrows that provide links to each module. As a result, the system is highly intuitive, and training new users can be done in a matter of hours.
Cons
There are several add-on software packages available for separate purchase, such as Financial, Scheduler and Dashboard, which improve the software even more. However, they can be quite expensive. It's important to note that these add-ons are not necessary for the software to make a difference in your operations, but they certainly offer assistance.

Once set up correctly, it's quite simple to use, offering a good level of detail and coverage.
Cons
Unfortunately, it's not possible to transfer quote attachments to works orders. It would be great to have the ability to link it to a clocking-in system.

Tricorn is a highly navigable product with numerous options to improve administrative and production workflows. I have found it to be an incredibly useful platform, regularly updated to meet business requirements. The customer service has been exceptional, quickly resolving any queries, ensuring uninterrupted production. Additionally, we have requested customized solutions and additional updates tailored to our specific needs.
Cons
The only downside to this software, understandably, is the need for help desk support when editing forms. Small mistakes can lead to significant problems if you're not well-versed in the editing aspect of the software.

Once you become accustomed with the system's quirks and methods, it becomes a great tool, excellent for accountability and handling repeat work.
Cons
Inputting new works orders can be time-consuming. In our case, inexperienced administrative staff members cannot take over from sales staff and input new sales orders.

It's a fantastic piece of software. Easy to use and set up. It has made a significant difference in planning and controlling orders in our CNC machine shop.
Cons
There are a couple of minor issues when importing data into Sage accounts (discounted invoices won't import).
