The ability to import data from our current system into Tricorn and quickly get started over a weekend was a gamechanger. It allowed us to transition to the new system seamlessly and have all the data from our old system in Tricorn. The reporting capabilities are top-notch, and the support provided is outstanding.

Cons

I wish the live reporting dashboard could be popped out and run on a separate screen.

Thanks to Tricorn, a single data entry for a customer's part now serves multiple purposes. This has enabled us to develop a comprehensive profile for all the important parts we manufacture. The traceability of materials and subcontract processes has been incredibly beneficial. Being able to email quotes, orders and invoices directly from Tricorn saves us a significant amount of time.

Cons

Over the span of 15+ years using Tricorn, any minor drawbacks have been addressed through updates. Tricorn has evolved significantly during that time, and we have grown along with it.

Tricorn software is easy to use and has excellent integration with other modules within the Tricorn system. It offers great features for traceability.

Report designing and reporting could be more user-friendly.

It's easy to view previous quotes and generate new ones. The software provides great tools for generating reports and offers a smooth process flow for jobs.

Some documents could be better designed, as they hide certain information from customers. Also it would be beneficial to generate two copies of a quote: one for customers with key information and another for the company, showing a breakdown of costs and profit margins.

I really like the system as it significantly reduces the time spent on document preparation for each job. With just a few clicks, we can set up templates and have all the required paperwork ready with minimal time and effort. I also like that everyone in the office can log in and access or use the software.

There are a few settings in place that require completing a "tick box" exercise before proceeding with certain functions. It can be frustrating initially, but you quickly get used to it over time.

Remote functionality would be beneficial. Since we don't have a server yet, it's essential to upgrade our IT infrastructure along with the system. Unfortunately, there is no cloud-based functionality available.

Tricorn aids our need for traceability, and the addition of hyperlinks in the latest version makes it easy to navigate from one table to another.

We are limited to the standard database layout and lack the ability to add additional fields or dropdowns. Some areas can't be customized, and changes to the standard database are slow to be incorporated. We don't always receive information about the latest release, so we often operate on an older version.

I find it extremely easy to use. Setting up customers and suppliers, creating MRP works orders with stock and materials and integrating them into the factory is simple. The dashboard reporting provides great visibility of movements and setting up quick access to data is a not a hassle anymore.

Cons

The software could benefit from a more robust Finance suite and improved stock control. However, the dashboard reports help fill the gaps, along with some auditing capabilities. It would be great to have the option to custom build our own dashboards or reports.

Using Tricorn has resulted in significant time savings when it comes to quoting, planning, purchasing and invoicing. I can easily track quotations and monitor the progress of manufactured parts at any stage.

We have been working with Tricorn for over 10 years, and throughout that time, we have developed our system. Currently, there is nothing we dislike about it.

Retrieving material certifications for customers requiring full release certification is also a simple process, thanks to Tricorn. It has saved us a tremendous amount of time and reduced paperwork significantly.

Like with any software, it requires an initial investment of time in training and inputting data, but the rewards become evident within a short time frame. After just three months, the benefits were clearly visible.

I find it easy to use, and it has proven to be not only an excellent quoting tool but also a valuable management tool for staying updated on trends, such as machine loading. This allows us to identify opportunities for additional work on machines that are under capacity. When it comes to deliveries, invoices and certificates of compliance, it couldn't be simpler.
