Across different machine types and even older equipment, FORCAM makes it possible to capture all kinds of signals and KPIs, essentially bringing big data into production. The interface is user friendly which helps manufacturing companies see quick results even when the environment and software are quite complex. On top of that being able to collect such a broad range of machine data and signals opens the door to new business models, like predictive maintenance and predictive control.
Cons
They lean too heavily on the trendy 'Industry 4.0' label in their marketing. I wish they would focus less on the buzzword and more on explaining the concrete, day-to-day benefits for specific manufacturing scenarios.

One thing that really stands out is the detailed guidance for connecting machines especially in assembly lines and press shops. That connectivity makes it possible to gain insights into overall efficiency as well as energy consumption. Because of that, FORCAM FORCE EDGE is helping improve sustainability and supports the United Nations SDGs.
