Although the system now functions adequately, the process of identifying and developing interfaces to external systems was confusing and time-consuming. Despite ION being described as modern, simple, and easy to deploy, it required significant effort to ensure it worked correctly in practice.

I found the Accounting/Finance/Controlling/Planning functionalities to be weak and I would not recommend them. The reporting functionalities are barely implemented out of the box. Implementing Infor LN across multiple countries in an international environment can be a painful process.

The print report formatting in Ln application needs improvement to make it more useful for users.

Additionally, having a cloud option is crucial for customers. The integration capabilities, such as ION integrations with BOD (XML) and API are the best tools for seamless communication with other software.

Cons

The complexity of this product should be acknowledged. It is primarily designed for large companies with multiple individuals managing various aspects of the process. However, for small branches where a few people have to handle tasks such as warehousing and invoicing, it can become overwhelming.

I am pleased by the state of the art GUI in Infor LN, which works smoothly on common browsers like Chrome and IE. It even runs on a Raspberry Pi. The ability to perform generic Excel exports and imports, along with the personalization feature to hide non-required fields and tabs in sessions, adds to the richness of functionality. I have experienced licensing issues, particularly when it comes to handling single sign-on capabilities. It could be improved in this area. Other than that, the software is great.

We have successfully synchronized with third-party software, and the performance is significantly better than in previous versions. The functionality to directly email reports from LN is a nice addition.

The support provided is subpar. I have had tickets open for nearly three months without resolution. Whenever patches or solution updates are released, they often introduce new issues and greatly impact the end users.
