“Easy to use”
Pros
It's a very complete system and includes all the modules our company needs to stay in control of its operations. It's also simple to use and since the software is open, you can develop or customize it internally if you have programming knowledge.
Cons
I find the structure or interface a bit outdated although it's not really a major issue.

“reliable accounting and reporting”
Pros
Working with it over the last two years has been very satisfying because it is simple to use and easy to implement. I have used it for proper chart of account classification at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, covering Assets, Liabilities, Revenue and Expenses and it has given me accurate estimate for the hospital's monthly income, expenditure, cost of sales and other generated reports. The import and export functions are also very useful in my daily work. I can export Sage-format input data to Excel for vendors' net payments, 5% withholding deductions, 1% development levy and store issue stock, then save the Excel file in CSV format and import it back into Sage. That process makes my work easier and leaves me very pleased with the system. Another part I really value is the Fixed Assets module. It allows me to capture the hospital's asset categories such as Plants and Equipment, Medical items, Motor Vehicles, Land and Building, Furniture and Fixtures and also calculate prior years' fixed assets in Sage without any trouble. On top of that, I enjoy using the Utilities feature because it helps me quickly fix date transaction errors in Sage 200 Evolution.
Cons
One area that really needs improvement is the mapping in the system. Quite often, after I run a Sage Intelligence report and save it on my computer, the entire mapping template disappears after some time which means I have to recreate everything from the beginning. That can be very frustrating. I also had a troubling experience on 28th January 2022 after posting a cash payment in Sage. Once I finished, I tried to relink the system and suddenly got a message asking whether I wanted to continue with the Sage backup. Since I was unsure what to do, I clicked "Continue." Later, when I ran the financial report, I discovered that everything I had posted was no longer showing in the system. I had to repost all the entries again and that took a lot of time. Since this was the first time I had faced something like this in the two years I had been using the software, it was really upsetting. I sincerely hope this issue can be addressed.
