not recommended, use playwright instead

Pros

I believe this program allows for both website and Windows app development, but it doesn't excel in either area. Perhaps for individuals who are genuinely afraid of coding, this approach could be advantageous.

Cons

Setting it up is challenging and time-consuming, and creating tests takes longer than expected. Learning it is difficult, and the customer support doesn't provide satisfactory solutions. They suggest updating the software, but it seems they don't have a good understanding of the issues. Tricentis claims that updates can be done within hours, but it took us multiple weeks. Even for non-coders, it would probably be faster to learn basic coding and a test automation framework instead of using this tool.

Easy to implement Codeless Automation tool

Pros

The test case design model is superior to maintaining data in Excel sheets. Test data management and DB testing are made easy, and it covers all BI models. Tosca API testing and Neoload tool for performance testing are also available. Configuration generates Tosca reports.

Cons

The cost is higher, and it's not platform-independent. Scripts can only be run on specific host machines without downloading the software itself as it requires a lighter version.

The best AI codeless automation tool

Pros

The standout feature of this software is its codeless nature. We can automate our tests without proper coding knowledge. Tbox reporting provides an excellent solution for generating test reports. Screenshots can be captured on test failure. It offers features that Selenium and Appium lack. Most importantly, it's codeless.

Cons

Each feature requires a separate license, and a single license doesn't solve all problems. Activating features in the settings is necessary for every functionality, and it's not possible to work without activating them.

Scriptless Automation Tool

Pros

It assists manual testers in learning automation testing by automating their existing test suite through its drag and drop feature. The XScan feature works excellently in scanning the page and storing the elements.

Cons

It is a bit expensive, so not every company chooses to use it. The certifications associated with it are also costly.

Codeless Automation with it's limitations

Pros

Tosca is not as user-friendly as it may appear from its advertisements and descriptions.

Cons

Starting to learn and work with Tosca as an automation tester can be difficult. There are many limitations, and the community is relatively small which makes it a bit hard to find solutions compared to other free automation tools.

Test automation without coding using Tosca

Pros

The codeless approach of Tosca allows individuals without coding knowledge to learn and perform test automation. The software has its own academy for learning and working.

Cons

The cost of this tool is very high. Additionally, it only allows customization using the C# language. It should support other languages such as Java or Python.

Best scripless Automation tool for testing

Pros

The best aspect of this tool is that it doesn't require scripting which makes it accessible to non-technical users who can learn and utilize it effectively.

Cons

The main problem with this tool is the absence of programming which makes it difficult to perform looping and conditions. There are very few support videos available, and the demo videos are only found on the Tricentis site.

Tosca is best for Web services automation

Pros

Tricentis Tosca best aspect of this tool is its scriptless automation capability, which makes it easy to explore and experiment. Tricentis provides excellent materials on their site, making it simple to automate UI and web services. Additionally, it can be integrated with Azure DevOps.

Cons

What I like the least about this tool is that apart from the Tricentis site, there are no other websites that provide tutorials or demos. The support is also limited compared to other paid tools. Additionally, it cannot run on Mac OS and cannot be integrated with GIT.

Makes Life Easier but not Before Making it Harder

Pros

Tosca by Tricentis is a powerhouse in the automation field. It is a sophisticated software, and it's evident that the team at Tricentis put a lot of thought into its automation suite and its capabilities. I haven't come across many things it can't do so far. Though there may be ways to accomplish what I'm trying to do, I haven't figured them out yet. The feature-rich software includes various modules and objects, allowing me to script all my automation in one place, including test data and execution aspects.

Cons

Learning Tosca is quite challenging. Tosca offers courses to teach you its capabilities and how to perform specific tasks. They ensure that you adhere to expected standards so that your scripting aligns with other departments in your company. However, the software is feature-rich, and like a programming language, there are multiple ways to achieve the same task. It's one of those programs where if you don't practice or use Tosca regularly, you will forget how to do things. Considering its high price, it's unlikely that you will find answers to your questions online. Even if you do, Tricentis' online support forms don't work well with search engines like Google, making it harder to find what you're looking for. Most of the support results just mention Tricentis Tosca as the best automation tool. Be prepared to invest a significant amount of time in learning and developing your Tosca skills.

Nice Tool

Pros

This is an excellent model-based test tool that is easy to understand. It requires very little coding experience, unlike UFT.

Cons

Since it is a relatively new tool in the market, there are many areas where improvements can be made, such as improving the ease of the knowledge base.

A Unique testing tool- No scripting required and supporting all platforms and technologies

Pros

There aren't many tools in the market that can automate test cases without scripting while supporting and integrating various technologies like Mainframe, Putty, API, UI, and Java-based applications. The tool is simple and easy to learn.

Cons

Distributed execution is problematic as it often causes issues during the execution, despite having the necessary infrastructure.

My experience with TOSCA has been good.

Pros

The performance is fast, and the user interface is intuitive. It is compatible with a wide range of applications and offers cross-browser support.

Cons

One drawback is that test case descriptions and test steps cannot be formatted. There is no spell check feature, and the export options for test cases to printer, Excel or TXT formats are not customizable.

TOSCA Testsuite

Pros

Even non-programmers can write test cases without scripting. The tool supports many adapters out of the box, both GUI and non-GUI. The support provided is superfast and professional. It's incredibly easy and intuitive to use. Feature requests from customers are quickly integrated into the tool. TOSCA@data is a valuable feature, and the employees at Tricentis are highly competent in services, support, proof of concept, and more. They provide assistance not only with Tosca-related issues but also with non-Tosca-related problems, such as infrastructure.

Cons

As a newcomer to the TOSCA Testsuite and Tricentis, I haven't come across any cons so far.
