Pros
Works really well for job-specific contracts where keeping a large amount of inventory on hand just is not needed. It gives us a practical way to monitor items with demand spikes so customers do not run out of stock. The customized product ID labels are simple to print and make receiving much more convenient. Another big plus is the customer service team which makes troubleshooting fast and painless. The system itself is user-friendly and the interface is simple enough that very little training is needed before multiple users can start working in it.
Cons
The one downside worth mentioning is that this process can drive up shipping costs for customers who use smaller bin sizes for supply releases. On top of that, email releases for KANBAN cards can arrive late so someone has to log in every morning to check and make sure shipments are processed when needed. If a lot of cards are released at the same time, that can create bottlenecks and push the shipment out until the next business day.
