“outstanding support every time”
Pros
Whenever I've needed help, the company's support team has gone above and beyond to walk me through things. They use videos and phone calls to make sure problems get sorted out quickly which has been a huge plus.
Cons
VisualCAM may not be the best fit for users who need more advanced features and automation without running into frustration. It also doesn't seem especially well suited for jobs like programming one-off cabinet designs or 3-axis machining since it feels more geared toward high-volume production runs.

“fast CNC code generation”
Pros
In my workflow, VisualCAM makes it much quicker to create CNC machine code from 3D CAD models. It saves a lot of time and manual effort and it also helps produce accurate CNC code.
Cons
It may not be very helpful for people who don't already have some CAM experience.

“clear step by step guidance”
Pros
One thing worth mentioning right away is the tutorials. They clearly put a lot of effort into them and the explanations are very clear so you can pick things up quickly. They really give you a solid jump start. The program is user-friendly, fully compatible with SolidWorks and the 2018 version worked really well for me. Compared with other SolidWorks add-ons, it also runs very fast.
Cons
The downside is that there are not many users around so if you run into a problem, you will probably need to contact MecSoft directly.

“Helpful tutorials for 3-axis work”
Pros
For 3-axis machining this software is a good option. In Turkey we tried the demo through Desita the local distributor and it worked well for us. There are also plenty of useful tutorials online especially on YouTube. MecSoft Corporation's own channel is really helpful if you want to get started quickly. I should also mention that the program is user-friendly.
Cons
Support from the company is reliable but the user community is still fairly small. If your issue doesn't get resolved after going through the videos, you'll probably need to contact them directly. That said, they do help when you reach out I can confirm that from our experience in Turkey.

“unstable software performance”
Pros
One thing this software has going for it from my point of view is the low upfront price and affordable annual maintenance. The nesting module was also included for free in an update a few years back which was a nice bonus.
Cons
Unfortunately the program is extremely buggy. Crashes happen far too often especially when posting code or making changes to geometry. The network license drops out regularly which becomes frustrating very quickly. The CAD side feels unresponsive and in worse cases it can cause the software to crash without any warning. Some tools also work inconsistently trim and extend for example, are very hit or miss. Selecting items on screen has to be overly precise and that slows work down more than it should. The nesting module is only useful for the most basic jobs and feature recognition is limited to solid models while still producing mixed results.
