“Key tool for targeting and qualifying nonprofits
Pros
Cause IQ brings together a massive amount of public nonprofit data all in one place, making it really efficient to research and qualify organizations. What I especially like is the ability to sync data directly to Salesforce. This saves my team a lot of time and ensures we always have up-to-date information and also the platform is packed with details like 990 forms, key contacts, financial information and much more. It has become a go-to resource in our workflow and their customer support is fantastic too. Whenever I have a question, I can count on an almost immediate and thoughtful response. Truly incredible team!
Cons
Data itself is excellent but the Salesforce integration could be more robust. I would love to see a more seamless and automated sync that reduces the need for manual exports or list uploads. Being able to define custom sync rules and have nonprofit records automatically update or push into Salesforce would really elevate the tool. Right now, the process can feel a bit clunky for teams relying heavily on CRM integration.

“Comprehensive nonprofit database readily accessible
Pros
Detailing on nonprofits is extremely impressive. You can find everything from 990 forms to contact names and numbers because there are plenty of filters available to narrow down searches, and you can even create unique queries. Customer support was very attentive and helped me quickly whenever I got stuck. I use this tool almost daily and it has become an invaluable resource.
Cons
To have a feature where you can build your own filters would be really helpful. The CSV list upload is useful but I had trouble matching organizations on my list even after running likely match searches multiple times. It was a bit frustrating. Maybe they could use AI to improve this process.

“Ideal for nonprofit research in business development
Pros
Cause IQ has played a vital role in our research of nonprofit companies. We focus on mid to large organizations that must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits to use our services and it offers a huge database and lets us find information quickly. It also provides direct links to websites, contacts for key leadership and copies of their 990 forms. It has been very helpful when launching new searches.
Cons
There is not much I don't like about it. My only complaint is that you cannot download a list of contact companies from the website into an Excel spreadsheet without paying for a much higher subscription. That makes things more complicated because it requires extra work to import company info into our CRM.
