disturbing payment deletion issues

Pros

Setting up the silent auction was simple and bidders had no trouble using it which is really the most important part when you are trying to raise funds. Everyone was able to register successfully and place bids without issues. The outbid notifications also function reliably.

Cons

Once the auction ends there is no practical way for a registered bidder who did not win anything to remove their payment details such as credit card information so it cannot be misused. Support claims this can be done but the online knowledge base does not match what actually appears on the screen. Other than that the deletion process does not work if the person previously placed a bid even when that bid was not binding because it was not the final one. Another serious problem is that after one auction ends users are randomly shown other online auctions. Even worse there are messages saying bids were placed on a user's behalf which is extremely unsettling. According to the helpdesk this is a bug.

user friendly

Pros

Getting everything set up was easy, the platform is user friendly and the customer support has been really helpful throughout :)

Cons

The only small downside was having a bit of trouble connecting it to PayPal but honestly that feels pretty minor.

promising fit for fundraising

Pros

When COVID pushed us to move our fundraising auction online we needed a platform that could handle it without locking us into expensive contracts or high fees. This one appears very simple to use and feels like a really solid match for our organization. We're planning to roll it out fully in about a month.

Cons

At this stage we haven't run into any issues. During testing nothing has come up that caused inconvenience or raised any concerns.

thoughtful features and quick help

Pros

Using this felt very easy and whenever I ran into an issue the chat support answered within minutes. The software seems designed with real event problems in mind with solutions already built in for things that might go wrong. That level of preparation really impressed me.

Cons

My only complaint was that the registration prompt was a bit hard to find and not the easiest to read.

perfect fit for our gala

Pros

This software has been an excellent choice for the annual gala we run every year.

Cons

Overall even though it came with a few usability challenges it still turned out to be a very solid piece of software.

realtime bidding and donations

Pros

We used this platform for our black tie event and it felt like a big step up from the software we'd relied on before! The automatic text alerts to bidders whenever they were outbid worked really well and being able to collect credit card details during check in helped keep everything moving efficiently. The paddle raise feature was also a highlight since it showed donations coming in live which made the whole event feel more dynamic and organized.

Cons

The invoicing part was a bit confusing at first but we were still able to work through it without too much trouble.

Pros

helpful setup and competitive pricing

Pros

Ahead of our event a member of the customer service team called me and spent a full hour explaining the software and showing me how to use it effectively for the fundraiser. The card swipers were a big help for collecting credit card details quickly. Entering guest information and auction items was simple and the pricing was very competitive too.

Cons

The invoicing part was a bit confusing especially for attendees who preferred to pay with cash or check.

wider reach with impactful texting

Pros

One of the biggest benefits is how simple this tool is to use while still helping you reach a much larger audience including bidders well beyond your usual attendees. The text messaging feature was easily the most valuable part for us and made the biggest impact.

Cons

Pricing feels high especially for a platform geared toward non profits. It could also use more room for customization because even though a few options are available it still feels somewhat restrictive and boxed in.

fast auction setup

Pros

Getting an auction up and running takes less than an hour which is really convenient.

Cons

Without a strong network to promote your auction selling items can be tough. It helps a lot to share it with friends, family and co workers and ask them to post it on their social media as well.

perfect fit for nonprofit auctions

Pros

Running our small annual nonprofit auction with this software has been a really positive experience. The platform is simple and self explanatory so getting started didn't take much effort. After comparing several options this one had the most affordable fees by far which matters a lot for a smaller organization. Another feature I really appreciate is being able to copy the disclaimers and instructions over to each item since it saves time and keeps everything consistent.

Cons

The only thing I'd really like to see added is the ability to edit photos directly within the software.

Great event planning

Pros

Scheduled meetings event coordination and speaking opportunities are all handled really well! It also gives us a solid way to work closely with committee and board members when planning events, addressing community needs and running productive meetings.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any drawbacks to add here.
