Intuitive but lacks some features

Pros

The software is really intuitive and user-friendly. You can set up a basic form without any IT skills and the support team is always there to help.

Cons

There are a few features we'd really like that aren't available right now.

easy to use

Pros

Optimy is very easy to use and provides several ways to track grants and donations. Their customer success team is fantastic, supportive, quick to respond and always open to discussing custom solutions.

Cons

The filters and options for exporting project data can be a bit confusing.

Great service

Pros

The customer service is excellent. They always respond quickly with an effective solution. It's been wonderful working with them!

Cons

Some parts weren't as customizable as we hoped for our subscription level.

Flexible but references are clunky

Pros

This is our first time using a dedicated grants management system so I was a bit nervous. But Optimy is more intuitive than I expected once you get the hang of it (and I'm not a technical person!). The dashboard is cleaner than other options we considered and it's actually more sophisticated than we even need. It seems flexible enough to customize for our specific needs.

Cons

Our grants require academic references for each application, which the system isn't currently set up to handle. The workaround for evaluations feels a bit clunky. That said, the Optimy team has been very helpful in finding solutions and they're constantly improving the product so we're hopeful this feature will be added soon.

Well-built tool

Pros

I'm impressed by the team's professionalism and kindness. It's a very well-built tool.

Cons

The 20% annual fee for ongoing development and support adds a significant recurring cost to the total price of the platform.

user friendly platform

Pros

The team that helped us implement Optimy was incredible. Now that we're using it, we find the system very user-friendly, easy to navigate and our team adopted it quickly.

Easy to scale

Pros

After a thorough search for the best features at a competitive price, implementing Optimy has been extremely simple. The implementation team was professional yet fun, expert yet approachable. The product is easy to navigate and has all the functions I need to establish a new CSR department for a global company. It also scales easily as our work grows.

Cons

I honestly didn't need much help from the implementation team because the product is so simple to set up and use.

A lifesaver for sponsorship tracking

Pros

Optimy has been a lifesaver for tracking sponsorship requests, including budgets, guest lists and marketing materials.

Excellent support!!

Pros

We really appreciate the continuous support and commitment to improvement from the entire Optimy team, from our first contact with sales to the technical teams. For two years, we've had regular conversations about making the tool more user-friendly for newcomers and more impactful for reporting.

Cons

Simple for all

Pros

The software is easy for both our admins and end-users. We got up and running quickly and today the system works perfectly for us.

Cons

It would be helpful if multiple people could edit a project at the same time. The system should also send email notifications when projects are submitted. Right now, evaluators aren't recognized as "project submitters," so a similar user status would be useful.
