Pros
There's a lot this software can do and it really supports the way we run our business. It works as a full end to end system and covers nearly everything we need in one place.
Cons
Quite a few features aren't implemented in the most logical way and without any proper help guide it can be hard at times to configure things and fully understand all the available options.

This definitely isn't a one size fits all kind of software but that's exactly why it worked for us. They shape the whole system around your business so getting started usually means spending a fair amount of time adjusting everything until it fits your workflow perfectly.
Cons
The beginning isn't especially easy but once we got past the initial setup using everything became much simpler.

After more than 10 years in the vacation rental industry we've tried most of the major software options out there and right now this one stands out as the best choice for anyone managing a large number of apartments across one or multiple cities. Having all the tools needed to automate internal operations in one platform is one of its biggest advantages. With it everything is handled in a single system: reservations, contracts, invoicing, channel managers, check ins and check outs, maintenance, cleaning and even external agencies. On top of that I haven't seen another platform this complete that also offers such a high level of customization. If there's a feature you need the development team can adapt the software to match your business requirements. That flexibility is really where this software is ahead of everyone else and it's something very few providers can truly offer.
Cons
This software is really built for businesses managing a high volume of apartments or companies with strong growth plans that need a partner capable of scaling with them. It's not the right fit for individuals or small property managers who don't need customizations or don't expect major growth. Because the platform includes so many functions it does take some time at the beginning to set up properly which is understandable for a system this powerful. Since it will likely become one of the most important tools in your business my advice is to invest that time. If you're not able to dedicate time to managing such a strong platform then it may not be the right place to start.

“flexible setup and strong collaboration”

Coming from larger alternatives, Magarental turned out to be a very different kind of product than we first expected. We mainly use it to connect our vacation rental offering to OTAs and other platforms so we can't really speak much about the CRM, PMS or CMS features. Where it really stands out for us is the level of flexibility. There are plenty of settings that can be personally tweaked, checked, adjusted and adapted which makes it especially valuable for users who understand the technical side of things. On top of that, the collaboration we've had with the Magarental team has been one of the parts we appreciate most.
Cons
Getting fully familiar with the software and everything it can do takes time and patience.

“outdated system with confusing back office”
Pros
The pricing feels reasonable and it does a solid job when it comes to bookkeeping and accounting.
Cons
Biggest challenge is that the platform is not user friendly at all and feels very outdated. It includes a lot of features (even though not all of them are really necessary) but the whole system could be much more easy and far less complicated than it is now. There are other software options out there that provide the same features or even more while being much easier to use and having a more modern interface. Expect to invest a lot of time just learning how to figure it out. Apart from that the English version of the back office is poorly translated which creates unnecessary confusion. We signed a two year agreement but the customer support was disappointing. Honestly I would have preferred paying more in exchange for better service and support. Another reason we chose not to renew was the lack of Airbnb synchronization while we were using it. They said that integration would be ready by September but we could not afford to keep waiting.

“All in one rental powerhouse”
Pros
Everything I need is in one place. It includes a channel manager connected to Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, Expedia, CTRIP, Agoda plus a few niche channels. The PMS is simple and covers the essentials like a planner, cleaning schedules and check in/check out. The booking engine is built in natively which is a big advantage. Automation also helps a lot with guest communications and gap management. Other than that it has API connections for reporting platforms and finance software, works well on tablets and mobile and also offers a marketplace and B2B access.
Cons
The only thing I'd still like to see is a GDS connection since that matters to our business.

Pros
Everything works together really well. It's a property management system that also includes channel manager functions so there's no need to juggle separate tools. The platform is flexible, connects without much trouble and works nicely on mobile and tablets. We also got a very well designed custom website integrated with a payment platform which has been a huge advantage. The product keeps getting better with ongoing updates and the customer service team understands not just the software but the rental business too which means their advice goes beyond basic support. It also makes remote control of field operations very efficient, includes integration with analytics tools like Power BI and offers excellent value for the price.
Cons
There are still small things here and there that could be improved like with any software but I keep seeing regular updates and continuous progress so at this point I'm perfectly fine with it.

One thing this product really delivers is control. It comes with a lot of features that let you handle reservations, payments and messaging on the front end while also covering back end tasks like check in, check out and other operational needs.
Cons
Where it really falls apart is support. There is basically no documentation and getting useful help in English is very difficult since the owner and staff are Italian. A lot of time gets wasted because they seem to talk around the issue instead of actually listening. On top of that their website development add on takes close to six months to complete even though it is based on a template. It is a low cost, powerful product but it feels seriously understaffed which is a real shame.
