Pros
Right from the start the platform feels clean and inviting and most of the tools are easy and simple to work with. It has also improved the way we connect with agents making it much easier to receive and handle reservations more efficiently.
Cons
Lately though there have been too many issues. Customer support has been very poor and it is really hard to get in touch with a representative when help is needed. A few important functions are also still missing especially when it comes to having better control over creating new rates, managing reservations and similar tasks.

Pros
It's the only PMS I've used that fully covers both the hospitality side and the accounting side in one system. On top of that it also offers full integration with credit card providers which makes the overall setup even more valuable.
Cons
A limitation is that the local currency for Booking.com cannot be automated through the US dollar rate plan.

Pros
Managing room divisions, rate plans and billing with this PMS has given very good results. The system is user friendly and simple to work with. In my daily tasks I use the channel manager the most and it performs really well. It also offers very strong connectivity with the major OTAs.
Cons
It works well for medium sized and large hotels but it can feel complicated for smaller properties. Since the program has continued to grow and evolve over time there are occasional bugs although the software team handles them well.

Using Optima PMS has been a really positive experience. It's user friendly, works fast and gives accurate results. It also helps the accountant a lot by providing various reports which makes daily work much more efficient.
Cons
We've been using the system for several years now and honestly we haven't come across any cons.

One of the biggest advantages is the wide range of reports available which gives a very detailed view of the data. Customer support is usually very helpful and I appreciate that they follow up afterward to make sure everything is working properly. The GOC channel manager connects well with most sales channels including agents which makes channel management very convenient. The availability and tape chart screens also offer solid functions and are useful in daily operations.
Cons
The reporting works well but there is not much flexibility since you can only use the predefined reports and cannot build your own. Support is available during the business week though in the evenings and on weekends the helpline is limited to emergency assistance only.

Getting around it is easy and forecasting can be tracked without much effort. The staff were able to use it without much trouble and the overall system is simple to understand.

Pros
From day to day it handles just about everything I need. There are still a few things I'd add or tweak but overall I genuinely enjoy working with it. I also manage external channels and the software makes that part of the job much easier.
Cons
It does have a few weak spots mainly when it comes to group reservations. I also wish the team had gathered more input from actual users in the field about what features should be added to the system.

Starting off with it was quick and generating reports is simple. The system feels user friendly, the functions can be customized to fit our needs and it also meets local government compliance requirements.
Cons
An area that could be improved is the process of adding transactions. It would also help to have more detailed and comprehensive reports for revenue tracking and hotel forecasting.

Pros
Running a larger hotel becomes much more manageable with this software. It connects the property to major online booking channels like Booking, Agoda, Expedia, HRS and others so reservations come straight into the system automatically. It is also very convenient to update rates or stop sales across all connected reservation platforms with just one click.
Cons
It is not really the best fit for smaller hotels especially properties with only around 15 to 20 rooms and the cost can feel too high for that segment. Smaller hotels usually do not need this many features and may be better off choosing a simpler system. Hopefully a more limited and affordable version for small properties will be introduced in the future.

Pros
The availability screen is easily the strongest part of this software. The reporting area is clear, simple to figure out and gives access to a wide range of different reports.
Cons
The events module is quite limited when it comes to flexibility. Customer support has been really disappointing with no help available from Thursday afternoon through Sunday and it takes far too long for anyone to begin addressing issues. On top of that if you want to connect external products like Revinate they charge extremely high installation fees.
