“Missing training manual and print setup”
Pros
It does run a bit faster in certain areas although not in the part of the system where we really need the improvement most.
Cons
One big gap is the lack of a printed, step-by-step instruction manual for training. There's also no simple way to refresh the screen you're currently working on with the click of a button. Reporting has been frustrating too because there isn't a button that prints reports already formatted to fit standard 8x11 paper. Having to export everything to Excel and then adjust it just to print properly wastes a lot of valuable time. There are far too many workarounds overall. Process development and reporting take much longer than they should and even after a year, there are still too many things that haven't been fully figured out.

“Easy checkout”
Pros
Checking out customers is quick and it does a good job helping keep inventory accurate.
Cons
Layaways are really not friendly for either customers or employees right now. Each layaway has to be kept separate and there should be a faster way to look up a customer's layaways and pull up the details right away. The receipt also needs to show the customer name, starting balance, payment amount, remaining balance and the date the next payment is due. Special orders also need improvement. The system should let us select items from other stores and not rely only on the inventory showing at the store creating the special order. It should pull from the warehouse first before sending requests out to stores and it should avoid splitting the order across multiple stores so duplicate items do not get picked.

“Really efficient software”
Pros
Being able to adjust inventory gives us a lot of flexibility and the data tracking and analysis features are genuinely helpful for keeping tabs on everything.
Cons
Screen layout cluttered weak enough that it gets in the way especially for employees who are not very comfortable with technology. A few basic changes would make a big difference, like making frequently used buttons such as credit card larger, improving spacing and enlarging touch targets for people who are less accurate on touchscreens. There is plenty of unused space on the display and it should be put to better use. Color-coding commands would also make things clearer. If options like Cash, Card, quantity change, price change and Remove item were color-coded, it would be much easier to recognize and separate functions quickly. I would also prefer to pull up a full style/item number, view QOH and update that quantity all from the same screen. Cutting down on extra clicks would really help.

“inventory visibility across stores”
Pros
One thing that's been really useful is being able to view inventory across every store, including the warehouse. The receiving and transfer functions are helpful too and the special order feature has also worked well for us.
Cons
The layaway process feels harder to use than it should be. When the ticket prints, it really needs to include the customer's phone number so we don't have to write it in by hand every time.

“Easy product tracking”
Pros
Placing special orders is much easier now for us and having quick access to product details like when an item was last received or last sold is really helpful. It's also useful to check what's arriving on the truck that day. On top of that, the selling side of the system is very simple to work with.
Cons
"Layaways" are still labelled as special orders which causes confusion for us. I've also heard from a lot of employees that the font is too small and difficult to read. From a POS perspective, the system also lets you keep scanning items even if one of them does not ring up which is a problem. Cashiers end up having to count everything carefully and pay very close attention because if an item does not scan, there is no clear alert unless they happen to notice it on the screen. It would also help a lot to have hot buttons for larger items that cannot be scanned, since having to search for them every time slows things down.
