“Not quite sure what the difference between this and Square Point of Sale Are??”
Pros
I am happy that there was a free plan option available. I don't have a huge business, but having access to a more robust feature set, which I believe Square for Retail offers beyond the traditional Square app, is great.
Cons
I have to stick with my opinion. For my small business, the Retail version didn't offer any unique features compared to the traditional Square App. In my opinion, Square for Retail was a bit more complicated, whereas the traditional Square POS app suited my style better with its direct approach.

“Terrible Customer Service”

Adding products and checking out is simple enough.
Cons
After using Square POS for a few years, we switched to Shopify because we had an online store and needed to consolidate our systems. We continued paying for Square for a year, even though we no longer used it for anything other than accessing old orders. When our office manager canceled the paid account, Square restricted our access entirely. Our office manager spent several hours and eventually regained access. We were not informed that all other user accounts would be closed, and the only way to access old records would be through the owner's email account. I called Square to inquire about being locked out of my account, and the customer service representative was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and sarcastic. I am glad we no longer use Square solely based on the customer service. Additionally, the processing fees increased significantly for us when we started offering one CBD product (THC-free) out of several hundred products in our store.

“Great Mobile POS”
Pros
The cost and setup were both affordable and easy, and transactions were never an issue regardless of the device or credit card used. The processing fees were very reasonable for our needs. Implementing the reporting features into our CMS tools was also a hassle free task.
Cons
Absolutely nothing! We couldn't find any issues even if we wanted to. The hardware and software worked flawlessly.
