“clean menu UX & reliable ROI”
Pros
The interface feels really well thought out. Its simple menu structure makes it something I'd confidently recommend. It also stands out as a better option than the expensive, non-open-source alternatives.
Cons
Translation support needs work across different languages. Language packs do exist but many of them are still quite incomplete. In my opinion using open-source dictionaries would help make the multilingual experience feel more complete.

“Perfect for restaurant management”
Pros
It's clearly built with restaurants in mind. Installation and implementation was very simple. Also this software is highly customizable and brings together everything we needed for online ordering and restaurant management in one place.
Cons
More advanced customization will probably require technical know how. The range of themes, extensions and third party integrations is narrower than what I'd get with larger commercial platforms.

“Budget-friendly choice for restaurants”
Pros
Processing online orders through Tastyigniter has been a really practical option especially without having to deal with expensive monthly fees. The system is clear and simple to work with. Setting up menus, managing orders and configuring delivery options all feels quite simple to me. Another big plus in my opinion is the flexibility to adjust it to the needs of the business while keeping full ownership of customer data. Overall it's a useful and budget-friendly choice for restaurants that want to operate their own online ordering system.
Cons
It's a bit tricky to get started with TastyIgniter if you're not very technical. Some of the more advanced features and integrations need extra setup and configuration so it can take a while to get everything working properly. I also think that the reporting and analytics are also fairly limited when compared with higher-end restaurant management platforms. On top of that customer support is not as extensive as what I'd typically get from fully managed commercial services.

“flawless web integration”
Pros
Connecting it with the webpage was effortless. Actually the whole system is pretty simple and accessible.
Cons
Integrating the merchant account was the only challenging part for me. It took quite some time.

“open-source flexibility and community”
Pros
Being open source is a huge advantage in my opinion. The fact that anyone can contribute to the code makes the platform feel very community-driven. Their team also made it highly customizable through extensions so users can enjoy the flexibility. The Discord community is active and very helpfu. It really feels like a platform built for the people.
Cons
The documentation still has room for improvement. Hosting PHP applications also requires a bit of system administration knowledge so there can be a learning curve there. Also the UI responsiveness could be better especially if it adopted a frontend framework like Vue.

“Feature-rich admin panel”
Pros
The admin panel stood out to me because it handles almost every situation that can come up with online ordering. I also really appreciate how simple it is to build custom extensions without modifying the core repository. That part was a total game changer for me.
Cons
There are a few small adjustments I'd make here and there but nothing serious. Since it's open source I understand that feature requests can sometimes take a while to be completed. One thing I do think could be improved is the error logging during failed updates. When mine failed I had no clue what caused it. After upgrading PHP to version 8.1 it finally worked.

“best for online food orders”
Pros
Among online food ordering services this one stands out as the best.
Cons
Despite being much better than other apps, I think Tastyigniter's backend setup documentation needs some improvement. Specifically I would make navigation clearer and better organized.

“User-friendly navigation”
Pros
From a user standpoint the platform was user-friendly enough and simple to navigate.
Cons
Its interface is clear for basic navigation but performance lags and UI polish is still in progress. I'd say it's best for users who prioritize functionality over speed.

“Complete in-house data control”
Pros
Building it ourselves means all customer data stays in-house which is a big advantage.
Cons
Setting up the delivery address feature feels a bit different than expected and it's missing a built in function to auto accept and print orders.

“adaptable components for catering ops”
Pros
It's been simple to adapt around the way we operate. Also the modular setup is a big advantage in my opinion because it lets us customize the restaurant system to match exactly what we need.
Cons
Adding new payment methods can be a bit tricky and takes more effort than expected.

“Unique features with a helpful network”
Pros
The platform offers a pretty distinctive set of features and the community around it is huge so there's almost always someone ready with answers or helpful feedback. I found that to be quite convenient.
Cons
It can be a bit tricky to set it up for a single restaurant.

“easy customization through plugins”
Pros
One of the strongest parts of this platform is being able to override existing functionality without modifying the core files. We can also build our own extensions to expand features based on our specific needs. On top of that the Tastyigniter support team responds quickly whenever we run into issues during development or while using the current functionality.
Cons
At times there's a caching problem where changes made to the JavaScript don't show up in the browser right away.

“Customizable setup suited to F&B operations”
Pros
It's interface is very user friendly so handling online food orders and day-to-day restaurant management is effortless. Even without being especially tech-savvy I was able to get comfortable with the software relatively quickly. I like the customization options as well. Tastyigniter let me shape the platform around my business instead of forcing me into a fixed setup. I could customize the menu to match my restaurant's branding and adjust the layout to fit the look and feel I wanted. That helped me create a more personalized online ordering experience for customers. It turned out to be an excellent fit for my restaurant. Between the accessible interface, broad customization, multi-store support and active community it gave me exactly what I needed to manage online ordering effectively.
Cons
TastyIgniter has a lot going for it but there were a couple of problems I noticed. While the customization is very powerful, at times the number of settings and configuration choices felt a bit overwhelming. It took extra time and patience to work through everything and fine tune the platform the way I wanted. Another thing to keep in mind is that since it's open source software, Tastyigniter depends on the community for support and updates.

“Easy configuration with plenty of plugins”
Pros
Very customizable and backed by a very helpful Discord community. There are plenty of extensions available as well like Printer, Payments and Dine In.
Cons
There was definitely a learning curve at the beginning . Also although its good right now I think the technology side still has room for improvement.

“clean setup and a well-designed interface”
Pros
Installation and maintenance were very simple in my experience. The frontend interface also looks really polished and is quite pleasant to use.
Cons
Many of the paid add-ons feel like they should have been included in the main app rather than sold separately. Personally I think the extra charge is a bit much.
