Pros

Instead of typing out a long Slack message or pulling someone into a call, the software lets me record things quickly and show exactly what I'm seeing or how something works. That's been really helpful whenever I need to explain a process visually. The AI features are genuinely useful too especially for turning recordings into something that's quick to review and easier to act on.

Cons

My biggest frustration is that some of the more advanced tools, such as ClaapAgent, are locked behind the Business plan. I'd much rather see those features offered on a lower-tier option especially for smaller teams that could still benefit from the automation without having to pay for the full Business package.

Recording meetings and passing along information feels really easy. The AI summaries come in handy when I need a quick rundown of what was covered without having to sit through the full recording.

After about eight months of using the software, it's become a big help for keeping meeting notes organized across a team working in multiple time zones. The AI summaries have been the biggest advantage. If I miss a call, I can read the recap afterward and still understand what was decided without sitting through the entire recording. The transcripts being searchable is also really useful especially when I only half-remember someone mentioning a dataset or a deadline and need to find it quickly instead of scrubbing through video. It also connects with Google Calendar and Meet automatically so recordings end up where they're supposed to without any manual setup each time. Even getting the whole team started with it went more smoothly than I expected and most people were comfortable using it on their own within a week.

Cons

Something I still run into is that the summaries sometimes need a bit of light editing. Most of the time, it captures the overall point correctly but now and then it smooths over a nuance or mixes up which action item belongs to which person. Because of that, I usually give the notes a quick review and tidy them up before sharing them more widely.

Does a really nice job of bringing screen recording and AI meeting notes into one place. The ability to add time-stamped comments right on video clips makes technical collaboration and feedback much more manageable. Screen recordings are especially useful for sharing detailed walkthroughs asynchronously so people can watch and respond whenever it fits their schedule. The AI meeting notes have also been a big win since they remove the need to take manual notes during live calls and automatically capture key action items in a way that's easy to search later. That helps keep the whole team aligned without filling up everyone's calendars. On top of that, getting started with the platform was very simple.

Cons

At times, the AI meeting summaries don't fully pick up domain-specific technical terminology and the video editing tools feel fairly limited. It can be difficult to quickly trim clips without having to record them again. It would also help a lot to have better control over custom AI prompts for note generation, along with more detailed permission options when sharing videos externally.

Has been really useful for communication in my project work. Little discussions keep coming up around requirements, screen updates, demos, feedback and other clarifications and I'd rather not schedule another meeting every time one of those topics comes up. When something is quicker to show than explain in writing, I can record a short walkthrough and send it directly to the right person. That has been especially helpful when working with teams since everyone can see exactly what I mean instead of trying to interpret a long written message. In my projects, I've gotten the most value for requirement walkthroughs, sprint conversations, stakeholder updates, team handoffs, deliverable reviews, change explanations and feedback on work. It's also very convenient when people are in different locations or not free at the same time. I can explain things clearly without waiting for everyone's schedules to match up. Overall, it mostly helps reduce communication overhead that would otherwise turn into unnecessary meetings or long message threads. I'd recommend this solution for project teams that collaborate a lot, regularly discuss requirements and deal with work that's better demonstrated than described. If the whole team is sitting together and communication is already very direct, then I don't think the software is necessary for every single task. I still rely on project management and documentation platforms to manage the actual project so I don't see this as a replacement for those tools.

I don't use it for every type of conversation. If it's just a quick update or a simple question, chat is still much faster. I've also realized that recordings need to stay well organized because if they aren't, it becomes hard later to remember where a particular discussion took place.

Meetings have become much more efficient since I started using this software. The AI note-taking and customized call summaries save me hours every week that I'd normally spend writing notes by hand and putting together follow-up emails. It is an excellent tool overall though I do run into occasional slow video processing and some browser lag especially with longer meetings that go past the one-hour mark. As our recording library keeps expanding, the search and organization features also feel like they need improvement to make older clips faster and easier to find.

Using a walkthrough is much more practical because I can show the exact section of a design or page and explain my thinking right there in context. That makes the feedback clearer and saves time. It's also been genuinely useful when collaborating across teams. People don't all need to be online at the same moment just to go over one creative revision. I mostly use it for reviews, campaign conversations, content feedback, landing page walkthroughs, internal marketing updates and coordination with design or content teams. It also helps a lot when I need to bring someone up to speed on a campaign idea after the original discussion already happened. Instead of rewriting the full background in a message, I can just share the context directly. Overall, it has been valuable because it makes a specific part of my work less time-consuming. It hasn't replaced my campaign or project management tools and I never expected it to. I use it in situations where showing something is more effective than trying to explain it in text and that happens often enough in my work that it's become a really useful option for making feedback clearer and easier to share.

Isn't something I use for every single conversation. If I only need a quick status update from someone, sending a regular message is still faster. I've also had to be a little more intentional about how I organize recordings. Once there are clips spread across multiple campaigns and projects, it can get tricky to remember which recording contains a certain discussion.

Written updates don't always cut it in partnership conversations especially when I need to walk through a campaign concept, presentation or customer journey. In my role as a Brand Partnership Manager, Claap has been really useful because the screen recording and async collaboration tools make that much easier. Sharing ideas or campaign feedback through video keeps the context intact so the team can quickly see what needs to be adjusted. It has also helped cut back on meetings and made communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders more easy.

Cons

There's a pretty broad set of features so fitting everything neatly into an existing partnership workflow can take a bit of time. If a team only needs screen recording once in a while, there may not be much value in fully adopting the more advanced collaboration and AI tools. Pricing can also start to matter more as your feature needs expand. Even with that, the time it saves through more consistent stakeholder communication and async review still makes it a valuable tool overall.

The transcript feature has been really useful and seeing how the conversation was distributed across the call is something I appreciate too. One thing that still feels frustrating is finding older meetings especially the ones I wasn't part of myself. I'd really like to see a more polished, better-designed home page that makes navigation clearer and helps surface what I'm trying to find faster.
