“Powerful automation”
Pros
A really solid fit because it lets me keep tasks, project structures, statuses, documentation and responsibilities all in one place. I mainly use it to manage technical and automation projects, where one project can include PLC programming, HMI development, testing, documentation and coordination across multiple people or systems. The custom statuses, task hierarchies, dependencies and automation tools make it possible to shape it around a specific workflow instead of forcing the team into a rigid setup. I also value the API and integration options which make ClickUp a strong base for more advanced automated workflows.
Cons
At the beginning, the sheer number of features can make the interface feel a bit overwhelming. It takes time to fully understand how Workspaces, Spaces, Folders, Lists and Tasks relate to each other especially when building a structure for more complex projects. The API is powerful but setting up and troubleshooting integrations could definitely be simpler. When something fails, the error messages do not always make it clear whether the issue comes from permissions, authentication, the request format or the specific ClickUp object being used. More detailed diagnostics and simpler integration examples would make this much easier to work with.

“smooth Dynamics 365 marketing hub”
Pros
Having this software built natively into Dynamics 365 has been a big advantage for our team because all of our marketing activity stays inside the CRM we already use, instead of forcing us to bounce between separate systems for campaigns and contact management. Being able to connect lead-scoring changes directly to existing Dynamics contact records is especially valuable since email clicks and form fills can update scores right away and make the handoff to sales much more efficient. It also pushes engagement data straight into Dynamics 365 contact records which helps eliminate silos and lets our sales team respond to high-intent industrial prospects faster. On top of that, the CRM-native setup saves us from the usual sync issues so we can spend more time on campaign planning and less time troubleshooting broken data flows.
Cons
There are still some clear limitations for our industrial tech marketing needs. Putting together more advanced multi-branch nurture journeys can feel awkward in the builder especially once conditional logic for different audience segments gets involved. In one recent campaign aimed at both plant managers and procurement contacts, we ended up doing a lot of repetitive manual setup. Reporting is another weak spot since the built-in options do not offer the level of custom visualization we need. We often have to export campaign data into outside tools just to create the detailed performance reports our leadership wants which adds extra work for a small team. The conditional branching in the journey builder also feels pretty inflexible when managing multiple industrial-buyer paths. When I set up separate flows for plant managers and procurement contacts, I had to duplicate several workflow steps instead of reusing shared logic which cost time and increased the chance of mistakes. On the reporting side, custom dashboards also need more flexible drag-and-drop filtering. It would be much better if campaign metrics could be sliced by job title directly within the software.

“flexible templates for agency workflows”
Pros
Running an agency with both fast-turnaround DTC social campaigns and longer B2B branding projects means we need different setups and its custom workspace template builder handles that really well. I keep separate templates for each client type so my DTC setup can automatically include steps for creative drafting, several client review rounds, ad asset completion and launch handoff. The built-in annotation tool is also a huge plus. When we send ad design drafts to retail clients, they can click directly on the visual to call out specific color or layout changes instead of writing long, unclear email explanations. Since all of that feedback stays inside the project workspace, our creative team deals with less confusion and far fewer back-and-forth clarifications. We also do not have in-house IT support so being able to create and adjust these templates myself makes a big difference. It saves a lot of repetitive setup time, keeps workflows consistent across projects and helps both account managers and creatives stay aligned on tight launch deadlines.
Cons
On the downside, the reporting limitations and lack of integrations cause ongoing problems for our marketing operations work. The platform does not offer a built-in way to group or filter project metrics by client type so if I need to compare turnaround times between DTC e-commerce clients and B2B enterprise accounts, I have to export full CSV files and put the reporting together manually in spreadsheets. There is also no native integration with our marketing analytics platform. At the end of each campaign, I have to copy performance data back into the project records by hand which creates plenty of room for mistakes when we are juggling multiple active projects. Importing older project data in bulk is another pain point because the file formatting has to be extremely precise and I ended up reworking spreadsheets more than once to get them accepted. Since we do not have an internal IT team to help troubleshoot imports or build API connections, these gaps add a noticeable amount of administrative work during our busiest times. I would really like to see reporting filters by role and client type, along with ready-made integrations for common marketing analytics tools.

“slow support and average tools”
Pros
There isn't much that stands out to me. The email builder is okay though and feels pretty standard for what it is.
Cons
Getting help from support tends to take too long. Tickets usually get a response after 24 hours and even then I often have to follow up myself just to get an update.

“compliance controls but export delays”
Pros
Right away, the full revision history and layered access controls proved indispensable for compliance tasks. Every change log doubles as solid GDPR audit documentation for our vendor records. The real-time collaboration is also a big help especially when our EU manufacturing clients need to work together on Machinery Directive manuals and the customizable folder structure keeps all of our CSRD sustainability drafts neatly organized in one shared location.
Cons
There still aren't any prebuilt document templates designed for German CSRD reporting or EU Machinery Directive handbooks. The German regulatory wording used throughout the editor can feel uneven and bulk exporting multilingual audit materials is noticeably slow. It also lacks native ERP integration so we're left manually organizing files for quarterly compliance archiving.

“clean layout and accessible tasks”
Pros
The way My Tasks is organized makes everything simple to follow and the interface feels very clean and well laid out.
Cons
At this point, I don't really have any complaints. As someone using the software for the first time, I'm still learning how everything works.

“Solid CRM integration”
Pros
Having everything in one platform is really useful especially since it connects directly with our D365 CRM. It lets me handle email marketing and social activity right inside the CRM which keeps things centralized.
Cons
The interface definitely feels dated especially when you compare it with more modern tools like HubSpot.

“efficient marketing automation”
Pros
After spending quite a bit of time with this software, I'm genuinely impressed by the results it has delivered. The platform is very user friendly and works smoothly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 so the transition was effortless for our team. The part I appreciate most is how much it simplifies marketing automation and customer communication. Building campaigns is easy, performance tracking is clear and everything stays organized in one place. It has absolutely helped us boost engagement while saving a significant amount of time. On top of that, their support team is responsive and helpful whenever questions come up. It really feels like they care about helping their customers succeed. I'd highly recommend this to any business that wants to organize marketing and grow more efficiently.
Cons
My overall experience has been very positive though one challenge at the start was the learning curve. Because the platform includes so many powerful features, it can feel a bit overwhelming in the beginning. Our team needed some time to fully understand the automation tools and more advanced settings. Once we became familiar with how everything worked, the platform was much easier to navigate. Even then, the support team and documentation were a big help throughout the onboarding process.
