helpful chats with smart AI

Pros

Using this softwarefeels very easy! I can just chat with it in plain English and quickly get useful information back. The AI also feels pretty advanced since it understands context well and keeps conversations coherent.

Cons

Even though the conversations flow nicely most of the time, there are moments when the replies come across as canned or repetitive instead of completely natural. It's friendly but the personality feels a little generic. Adding more brand personality would make the interactions more engaging.

hidden insights in minutes

Pros

Within just a few minutes, this software helped uncover several powerful correlations in my business data that I likely never would have spotted on my own. It's been an incredibly valuable tool for finding hidden patterns and connections.

Cons

At the same time, the interface feels a bit too simplified. The built-in visualizations look polished but they limit how much I can actually manipulate the data. I'd really like more fine-tuned control over things like chart types, colors and other customization options.

powerful scoring

Pros

Being able to connect product usage data to individual users has been a huge step up compared with traditional CRM and CDP tools which just couldn't give me that level of visibility before. Another part I really appreciate is the scoring system. I don't need to choose specific events to build the score myself, I can send everything into the ML scoring model and let it figure out how to weight each signal for me.

Cons

Getting everything fully set up does take some time but that's pretty normal for any platform that depends on multiple data feeds and integrations. I'm also looking forward to deeper HubSpot integration although it sounds like their team is already actively working on that.

clear direction from alerts

Pros

Alerts feel a lot like having Google Maps on a foggy road full of opportunities. They point me in the right direction which saves a ton of time and mental energy.

Cons

I do wish I got more alerts though I completely understand that this can be adjusted through the settings.

slack signals that drive deals

Pros

Most of my interaction happened through the Slack app and I was checking it every day sometimes several times a day when a signal was active. At first, the engine was not perfectly aligned with what we needed but I worked closely with the sales rep and he made a few small adjustments. After that, it was performing well enough to help lead to a fairly significant deal, along with plenty of additional clues about future opportunities that were only starting to surface.

Cons

This is not really a complaint from my side but the software does require a fairly deep understanding of your own product metrics, as well as the signals that map to customer journey stages, obstacles and turning points. If you do not already know how customers progress and level up inside your product, the insights may not be as useful. My recommendation would be to go deeper into how those data patterns connect to the outcomes you want since that will help you tune both the product engine and the data engine to work at the right time.

powerful playbooks and goal tracking

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is being able to trigger multiple actions like Salesforce tasks and Slack alerts, from a single audience playbook. Not every platform can do that and it saves us a lot of time on the management side. The goal functionality has been one of my favorite parts of the platform. It lets us define success metrics for every playbook we build so we can quickly tell whether a PLG play is actually performing without first having to put together a complicated Salesforce report. Being able to assign multiple goals to the same play is also a really valuable feature. Creating and updating Salesforce objects directly on the Account and Contact records has also improved our workflow quite a bit. On top of that, the Slack alert feature is incredibly effective. We can include data from Segment and Salesforce, along with recent activity from the platform, all in one alert.Because of that, my sales team does not need to work inside Correlated itself. They get the context they need directly in Slack and can jump into the Salesforce link in the alert to start working the account immediately.

Cons

Like a lot of platforms in this category, there is definitely some learning curve and setup time at the beginning especially when connecting data sources and making sure everything is mapped to the correct fields and locations. We also ran into a few issues early on when trying to match our Salesforce records with the right Segment data. To their credit, the Correlated team stayed closely involved and helped us work through those problems until everything was resolved. Setting up Account and Contact scoring can also be a bit confusing at first. That said, their team has been very supportive in helping us refine and improve our conversion models.

outstanding support

Pros

Working with this software has been better than with any other vendor we use. Their team is extremely responsive and consistently goes above and beyond to help us meet our goals.

Cons

Like many early-stage products, it still has a few rough edges and occasional bugs. That said, the team is always quick to acknowledge issues and fix them so it has never turned into a major blocker.

customer-first team and fast progress

Pros

One thing that really sets this software apart is the team behind it. They stay highly engaged, genuinely care about customer success and act more like partners than vendors. On top of that, they move fast on the product side and clearly take customer feedback seriously when making improvements.

Cons

This isn't really unique to the software but it comes with the territory of PLG platforms in general: data is coming in from multiple sources so there's some upfront work required to get everything configured properly and to a point where you can fully trust the data.

Effective customization

Pros

Has been really valuable for our team. It connects with Slack and our sales engagement platform to surface high-propensity behavior we can use for outbound efforts. It's also highly customizable and their team has partnered closely with us to make sure it fits the way we need it to work.

Cons

A challenge is getting this software fully integrated into a stack that includes a sales engagement platform, CRM and messaging tools when those systems don't work together cleanly. Setting up automatic routing for it leads to reps was especially hard to get in place.

effiicient PQL workflows

Pros

Running a startup with a lean GTM team, I've been able to test and act on PQLs myself with this software instead of waiting on extra help. I can define the PQL criteria and thresholds without touching code and the native Outreach and Slack integrations make it really smooth to launch campaigns and stay alerted on prospects. On top of that, their support team consistently goes the extra mile whenever I need help.

Cons

Depends on the customer to supply product usage data. Because of that, you really need a data engineering team in place that can accurately capture that usage data and send it to the right destinations.
