Good source for finding targeted leads, contact details, a company's current financial position, funding information and more. It's an extremely informative platform for lead generation and business research.

Cons

At times, it gives the wrong employee information or the data isn't fully up to date. Aside from that, it's still a very useful tool for business insights.

A simple yet effective prospecting tool for getting useful insights on companies, including their financial details, tech stack and key decision-makers. My favorite part is the funding section since it provides a lot of detail about investors and even shows their other investments which adds a lot of value.

Cons

It would be more useful if it included more key decision-makers along with their contact information. Some of the data sources also seem outdated and the filtering options could definitely be improved.

Pros

Nearly every company I look into shows up in Crunchbase which is both useful and reassuring. It saves me from the hassle of jumping across multiple websites just to gather information on a single company.

Cons

That said, I've also noticed quite a few inaccuracies in the details it provides. Because of that, time can easily get wasted following incorrect information so I usually report those issues to the team right away in the hope of making the platform less error-prone.

One of the most valuable parts of this product is the funding data and the information on key decision-makers. It also helps a lot that details like company growth and year of incorporation are available because that makes prospecting much simpler when matching leads to our ICP criteria.

Cons

The phone numbers and email addresses still need improvement and it would be much better if they were integrated more effectively so everything could be accessed in one place at once.

Pros

Keeping up with newly funded companies is really convenient here. I can narrow the list down by industry and location which makes the search much more useful.

Cons

Pricing is on the expensive side. It would be better if they offered a small number of free searches each day.

Pros

One thing that works really well is how clearly company information is laid out especially funding details and other financial data. It also provides a list of decision-makers along with links to their LinkedIn profiles which makes reaching out much more convenient for our team. The filtering options are also excellent when it comes to narrowing down a market.

Cons

A downside is that the latest data is not always current. The platform needs more regular updates and the database should be refreshed more often to include newer companies.

Pros

When it comes to public startup databases, this is still the go-to name online. It includes at least some level of information on most startups and as a free searchable database, it really doesn't have much competition.

Cons

That said, the information for newer companies can be inconsistent or sometimes just inaccurate. The interface also feels cluttered and getting around the site can be frustrating at times. It comes across as being caught somewhere between a free product and a paid platform and PitchBook feels more easy to use.
