reliable software

Pros

I use it for targeted account and lead discovery and it takes a lot of the guesswork and wasted effort out of top-of-funnel prospecting.

Cons

Biggest issue for me is the accuracy of the contact data and how executive roles are mapped.

useful company data and news

Pros

Getting company information and news is easy and it's presented in a format that's simple to review and understand.

Cons

The downside is that they only give the news article URLs so we still have to pull out the actual content ourselves.

powerful research and targeting

Pros

Been especially useful for its search and filtering tools. I rely on them a lot to narrow companies down by industry, funding stage and location and that saves me a huge amount of manual research time. Instead of jumping between different sources, I can put together a focused list much faster. The company profiles are also a big help in daily work. Having funding history, investors and key people all in one place makes it much easier to get a clear picture of a company before outreach or analysis. It speeds things up a lot when I'm doing competitor research or lead generation. Another thing I appreciate is the clean interface. It's easy to move between company profiles, investor information and funding rounds without wasting time trying to figure out the layout. The platform has also been reliable performance-wise. Searches load quickly even when I apply multiple filters which really matters when working through larger datasets. One feature I didn't expect to use as much is tracking. Being able to follow specific companies and get updates on funding or other changes helps me stay current without having to keep checking manually. The pricing does feel a little expensive but when I look at the amount of time it saves on research, it still feels worth it from an ROI standpoint. Getting started was also pretty painless. The onboarding is simple and most of the features are accessible enough to learn without much effort.

Cons

A downside is that the data isn't always fully accurate. Some company profiles can be outdated or missing information so I still end up verifying details through other sources. The cost is also fairly high especially if you need access to the full set of filters and export options. For smaller teams or solo users, it can definitely feel pricey. The free plan is fairly restrictive too. A lot of the more valuable filters and data points are locked behind the paid version which limits how much useful research you can really do without upgrading. Filtering isn't always perfect either. I've had irrelevant companies appear in results so refining lists can take more time than it should. Integrations are another area that could be stronger. Exporting data works fine but direct syncing with a CRM or other tools isn't as developed as I'd like. Support is okay overall though response times for resolving issues or questions could be faster.

valuable funding insights

Pros

Daily market research feels a lot faster with this software in the mix. Working in tech means I'm constantly keeping tabs on companies, funding rounds and competitors and this platform saves me a huge amount of time. The funding information is probably the part I depend on most. I can quickly see every round a company has raised, who the investors were and the amounts involved. Before using this software, I had to piece all of that together from news stories and press releases and that process was incredibly time-consuming. Now I can open a company profile and get the full picture right away. The filtering tools are also very helpful. I can narrow searches by industry, company size, location, funding amount and more depending on what I need. That makes it possible to put together targeted lists for prospecting and market analysis in minutes instead of spending hours on it. Another feature I really value is the tracking of executive changes. When a company brings in a new CEO or CFO, I can spot it quickly. That gives me useful context on whether a business looks stable or may be going through leadership shifts. The interface is clean and easy. It's not overly flashy but it's simple to navigate and I can usually get to the information I need without digging through multiple layers of menus. I also appreciate the ecosystem view. Seeing the connections between companies, investors, founders and competitors gives me a much broader understanding of the market than looking at a single company on its own. Overall, this is the tool I turn to first for company research. It may not be flawless but for my daily work, it delivers exactly what I need.

Cons

There are three issues that stand out in my daily use. The first is that it often doesn't provide enough detailed operational business information for many local European small and mid-sized tech companies. Real project examples and specific service descriptions are frequently missing so I end up having to verify details through other sources which costs extra time. Another frustration is that the current filter tags feel too broad. They don't offer enough fine-grained industry labels for local IT segments which means I still have to manually sort through a lot of irrelevant results after running searches. The third problem is that updates can be slow when it comes to mid-level staff changes and the latest business developments. On top of that, the export options are fairly limited and there aren't customizable output formats so I have to do more manual work later when organizing reports and arranging data.

A complete powerhouse!

Pros

Has been a powerhouse for our market research and competitive mapping. The "similar companies" feature is especially useful because it uncovers competitors and potential leads that weren't even on my radar before. It also gives solid insight into investment metrics and overall financial health which makes it much easier to build a data-backed case for our market positioning. On top of that, having our own company profile on the platform helps increase our visibility with potential partners.

Cons

Pricing is definitely the biggest obstacle. While the quality of the data is strong, the subscription cost still feels pretty steep for smaller teams or individual departments. It would be much more accessible if there were more flexible pricing options for users who only need certain data sets instead of having to pay for the full global enterprise package.

outstanding VC and M&A data

Pros

When we were mapping out targets for a Series round, this software turned out to be incredibly valuable. The VC data is unmatched and being able to build detailed investor lists using filters like AUM saved us a huge amount of time compared with researching everything manually online. It's also extremely useful for spotting M&A opportunities across global markets.

Cons

Cost is a problem especially since it's not something that needs to be used every single day which makes the subscription harder to justify as SaaS spend. A pay-as-you-go option would make a lot more sense so you wouldn't have to keep losing access to an account whenever you cancel the subscription.

powerful investor discovery platform

Pros

Right away, the platform's interface feels polished and well put together. It's especially useful when trying to identify potential investors for a company and it does a very efficient job of helping businesses present themselves online.

Cons

Pricing can be fairly expensive for some new users. At times, the information provided feels outdated or old and using it on mobile phones can be difficult because navigation and operation are not very convenient.

unauthorized charges and terrible support

Pros

There wasn't anything worthwhile for me here. The only upside is that it costs less than some other options and that seems to be for a reason.

Cons

They offered a free trial, then went ahead and charged my card without my permission. I spent hours reaching out to support and got quick replies at first but the moment they realized I was asking for a refund, they stopped responding every single time. On top of that, the platform's filters and data are extremely poor. I would never recommend this to anyone, they come across as scammers and I'd strongly say don't use it.

best source for funding insights

Pros

When it comes to checking seed rounds, investments, funding rounds and other financial details, this is the only site I've found that presents everything clearly. I still haven't come across a better alternative. It's extremely useful for market analysis, evaluating investments in your sector, understanding investors and seed activity and also doing competitor analysis.

Cons

Even though the free version is fairly complete for basic research, the monthly price still doesn't feel justified. A one-time purchase option would probably make more sense. I personally wouldn't pay every month for something I only use occasionally.

Pros

Getting started was very easy and the platform is simple to use right from the beginning. The implementation process was quick and uncomplicated which made adoption much easier.

Cons

What I'd really like to see is an integration with HubSpot. I'm also not a fan of the limit that only allows tagging up to 1000 companies and it would be much better if there were an option for custom fields.

valuable startup insights

Pros

When I need a fast overview of competing tech startups, it gives me a clear picture of their structure, funding history and the key people on the team. Being able to save companies into lists is also really helpful since it makes it much easier to come back to them later for reference.

Cons

Uses a freemium model but the jump from the free version to a paid plan feels pretty steep. It would be much better if they offered a monthly payment option instead of only annual billing and if there were a lower entry-level tier designed for early-stage startups.
