“Can be better”
Pros
Having it built directly into Salesforce is definitely useful since I can keep everything in one system instead of jumping between tools. It's not the most full featured platform out there but it does enough for our organization and works well for managing our funnel.
Cons
A downside is that its reporting relies on Salesforce's own reporting functionality so there are some limitations there. The included dashboards are fine and cover the basics but if you want to dig deeper, you have to open each individual report and tweak the settings manually.

“powerful attribution”
Pros
Everything functions the way it's supposed to. Compared with other options out there, it really offers a wider range of influence and attribution models. Because it's built directly into SFDC, you can take advantage of custom reporting without much trouble and as your organization evolves, it's also easy to adjust the model or even use different models as needed.
Cons
Getting the most out of it does require customizing the solution to fit your company's data structure. If your setup is especially complex, you'll probably need someone focused on data management. It would have been helpful to get clearer data management best practices or examples from organizations similar to ours showing how they used the application after rollout. The out-of-the-box dashboards and reports were helpful but it still took a while to connect FCI's capabilities with where we'd actually see value. We'd also like the ability to view the funnel at the Contact or Account level in our CRM instead of only at the response level since that would be more accessible for people who aren't as familiar with the system.

“closed loop reporting that works!”
Pros
Creating the closed loop marketing reporting we need is much simpler with Full Circle.
Cons
I'd love to see more documentation on the site around the Lead Assignment Rules in SFDC.

“extra clicks hurt workflow”
Pros
It does a good job of generating key marketing attribution insights.
Cons
At the same time, it forces sales users to take extra clicks and creates added hurdles for SFDC support and automation setup.

“Funnel tracking flexibility”
Pros
From an architecture standpoint, this software does a really strong job with funnel tracking and campaign attribution. Basing so much of the tracking and updating around the existing Campaign Member object in Salesforce makes a ton of sense. The reporting and infrastructure it adds honestly feel like features every B2B Salesforce instance should already have by default. It also gives you plenty of flexibility to define how you want to track your funnel, build out a lead lifecycle and assign opportunity pipeline across campaign touchpoints.
Cons
Because it operates directly inside Salesforce, that setup is both a benefit and a drawback. It's nice not having to deal with a separate integration and field updates usually happen fast. At the same time, anything that falls outside Full Circle's own configuration area almost always needs a Salesforce admin or developer to investigate. Since it's a large, deeply embedded tool that has to coexist with other Salesforce integrations and automations, problems can come up pretty often. That becomes a real headache if you don't have the right internal resource available. Their support team can be very helpful but even they sometimes can't fully resolve certain issues. We still run into cases where it doesn't update fields correctly and some of those problems remain unresolved so it definitely isn't flawless and does need ongoing monitoring. From a marketing ops perspective, it's one of the more complex platforms I've worked with outside of Marketo and Salesforce itself. The flexibility and customization are there but you really need to understand the system in depth to take advantage of them. On top of that, the product is very sticky, for better or worse. Even if we decided to move to another platform, the effort involved in untangling it might be enough to keep us from switching.

“effective features”
Pros
It does its job really well and feels dependable overall. The platform also comes with a broad set of features which makes it capable for a lot of different needs.
Cons
Documentation still needs a fair amount of work. On top of that, a lot of the customization options are not very accessible or user friendly. For instance, there are multiple places where it recommends not making certain changes unless their support is involved.

“Gives a clearer overall picture”
Pros
One of the best things about FCI is being able to combine data from both contact and lead views into a single campaign view using campaign member reports. That makes funnel reporting much more useful and gives a clearer picture overall.
Cons
setting it up takes a lot of time and you really need to have a dedicated internal SFDC Admin to handle both the setup and the ongoing maintenance.

“powerful marketing tracking tools”
Pros
What the product does really well is provide detailed visibility into marketing outreach. It also includes a lot of configurable options within the managed package so you can customize and organize it to fit your business needs.
Cons
Getting the most out of all the components really requires a dedicated team for both implementation and ongoing use. It's worth spending plenty of time planning the rollout and deciding who will take ownership of reporting and overall direction going forward.

“reliable funnel management”
Pros
Our demand gen team has relied on its response and funnel management for years and it continues to fit our needs well. We also used it for multi-touch attribution for quite a while though we've recently shifted that piece to a custom influence model we built in Tableau instead.
Cons
A frustration is that support for questions or issues can sometimes take a few days between replies. There was also a monthly release that didn't work with our configuration and ended up taking our funnel down for a week until they pushed a fix to our SFDC instance. Since their team is small, we've learned that we need to keep a close eye on our instance and monitor issues carefully.

“Campaign attribution insights”
Pros
Gives us a really effective way to understand how campaigns contribute to closed deals. Being able to build multiple models is especially useful because it lets us test new scoring approaches without disrupting the process we already have in place.
Cons
Setting everything up takes quite a bit of configuration and it is not always completely easy. That said, their support team is very helpful and clearly knows the product well.
