A big strength here is the highly declarative product model which makes it much simpler for insurers to define coverages, forms and rating rules while keeping everything reusable. The UI feels polished and the overall user experience is very good. It's also customized well for different user roles which helps teams work more efficiently. On top of that, the built-in workflows for quoting, binding, endorsements and cancellations are a real advantage.

Cons

Implementation can get complicated at times especially depending on the scope of the setup. The cost and overall total cost of ownership are also quite high.

Setting up specifications is pretty easy with this product and the core services work really well.

It still takes a while to get up to speed with the configuration and the claimed ease of use feels overstated when more complex requirements are involved.

Really organizes insurance processing! From a developer's perspective, the configuration is easy to work with and scales very well.

The only downside is that there aren't many public articles available for developers looking for community support.

When it comes to quoting P&C commercial policies with large exposures, this has been the best tool I've used. It connects with several sites that have massive databases and the information for locations, vehicles and drivers gets auto populated for the specific risk which saves a lot of time.

Cons

Since it's cloud based, it does lag at times when multiple pieces of information are entered at once.

There's plenty of flexibility to customize the functionality and available options to fit different needs.

A drawback is the limited tooling available for automated UI testing.

Keeping admin data maintained in PolicyCenter is a bit challenging right now. It would be much better if there were a simpler way to manage and maintain that information.

It comes with a solid set of out-of-the-box core capabilities and the customization options make it simple for us to apply the changes we need.

Even though it offers a lot of flexibility, its core architecture can still restrict how far you can go when building a highly specialized business process.
