Pros

One of the biggest advantages for us has been how flexible the platform is when it comes to fitting our commission plan requirements. Even though we try to keep plans standardized, there are always exceptions and those exceptions tend to change often. Instead of forcing us to adapt our process to the software, we were able to configure the system around the way we actually work. Moving over from a manual process, that has been a major upgrade in both efficiency and overall capability for the team.

Cons

There really is not much to complain about. If I had to point to something, I'd say a few areas of the application feel a bit dated visually. That said, for a tool where only a small group of admins is regularly working in the backend, I'll choose strong functionality over modern appearance every time.

Beyond the system itself, the best part of this implementation was getting to work with their team! The platform saves us several hours of manual calculations every week and collaborating with them to build something that removes user error and truly fits our needs was not just simple but genuinely enjoyable too.

Looking back I wish I had understood the process better before the project started. The discovery phase was clear enough but it's pretty easy to lose track of things while the product is being developed behind the scenes if you're not staying actively involved. In the end, everything came together really well during testing and I'm extremely happy with both the process and the final result but those very minor hiccups probably could have been prevented.

One thing that really works well with this product is how flexible it is especially when it comes to supporting different calculation types. It also connected nicely with Salesforce and gives us the option to import data without much trouble. On top of that, any plan changes we've made since the initial implementation have been simple to manage.

I'd still like to see more options for building custom reports. The Adhoc reporting feels a bit outdated and it isn't really suitable for sharing or distributing to others.

Helps us automate work that used to be handled manually. We can also rely on it to manage and process a wide range of commission plans.

The downside is that running the calculations can take quite a while.

The support feels very customized and it's obvious the team puts real effort into delivering the solutions we need. There's definitely a cost involved but the process for handling both enhancement requests and ongoing maintenance is clear and well organized.

A frustration has been how long the upgrade has taken. We've been hearing about it for several years and it's supposed to make managing our compensation solution much simpler. We also need a better way to stay current on the latest release without taking on so much overhead.

From the way they handle support, it's clear they treat us like a valued customer. The attention feels very personal and the level of care and follow-up we receive has been consistently strong.

There were a few bumps during past implementations but both sides learned from those experiences and things improved because of it.

Getting started with it has been very easy and managing the system day to day is simple as well. On top of that, the support team has been excellent whenever we've needed help.

A limitation is that plan setup changes still tend to require bringing in Iconixx whenever updates are needed. That said, they've been very helpful lately by reworking some of the formulas and rules which now gives us more flexibility to handle smaller adjustments internally.

Pros

One of the biggest benefits of this software for us has been the support team, they've been consistently helpful! The configurable dashboards are useful and having Excel export plus ad-hoc reporting gives us the flexibility we need. Being able to make changes at the transaction level is also a big advantage. On top of that, single sign-on and 24/7 web access for our field team make the platform even more convenient.

Cons

At times we do notice minor performance slowdowns. The data loading process and error reporting also have room for improvement especially when it comes to giving more transparency and producing cleaner, more readable output.

Their team has been consistently responsive and over the years they've helped customize the system to fit our needs while also giving us the ability to manage a variety of changes on our own.

There's honestly nothing major that stands out as a downside. The one thing I'd still like is the option to create statement batches for managers instead of downloading each one separately and then grouping them manually before sending.

The interface is user friendly, the automation features are valuable and the implementation timeline from initial kickoff to deployment is fast which makes it a practical option for companies looking for a cost effective sales incentive platform. Its automation, analytics, reporting and workflow tools are all built to support compensation administrators in their daily work. Compared with other vendors in this space, the path from engagement to deployment is noticeably quicker. The product also feels thoughtfully designed and that clearly reflects the experience of their team. From both the consulting and leadership side, the software shows a strong understanding of how to deliver an incentive solution that aligns sales teams with business goals, while also providing technology, analytics and workflow tools that business users can adopt quickly and use day to day.

At this point I'm still getting familiar with the product, the full range of functionality it offers and the specific business needs it is designed to address.
